The long-awaited sequel to the infamous horror game, Alan Wake 2, is finally set to hit our gaming libraries on October 27, just in time for Halloween! Packed with an intriguing story, ritualistic murders to solve, deadly horrors, and a gloomy once-picturesque town to explore, Alan Wake 2 is the perfect game to play this spooky season.

Is your PC ready to handle the gameplay of Alan Wake 2? We’ve put together everything you need to know, ensuring your set up is ready to handle all the twists and turns this game is sure to offer!

The Gameplay

A sudden string of ritualistic murders has shaken the once idyllic town of Bright Falls. It’s up to accomplished FBI agent, Saga Anderson, to save the town. However, her attempts to solve these complex murders begin to spiral into something far more deadly. Her own nightmares start appearing around her as the pages of a horror story become true.

Alan Wake is a lost writer trapped inside his own nightmare for thirteen years. Lost beyond the constraints of the real world in The Dark Place, Wake must write a story detailing the horrors happening around him.

Whilst these two characters may be set in different worlds, their stories are far more connected than they believe. Their realities soon become intertwined, affecting the fate of the worlds around them.

Bright Falls vs The Dark Place

Located in the Pacific Northwest, the picturesque town of Bright Falls is surrounded by dark forests, forested valleys, and foggy mountains, for pure ultimate fall vibes.

It’s not just Bright Falls you’ll be able to explore, in fact, there are two more locations in the Pacific Northwest that you can venture to. Watery is the nearby city, founded by the logging and fishing industry. When you want to escape the town, there is Cauldon Lake, a caldera lake that was once a popular hiking destination but has since gained a reputation as a place to avoid…

Waiting in the depths below Cauldon Lake is The Dark Place. Operating on dream logic and shape shifting, The Dark Place transforms its appearance based on the mind of whoever it comes into contact with.  Alan Wake once wrote crime books set in gritty New York. Now the Dark Place shifts to take the form of a twisted, gruesome, and nocturnal New York City.

Does Alan Wake 2 Include Multiplayer?

Alan Wake 2 is a single-player experience only. However, that doesn’t have to stop you from sharing the gameplay with friends through live streaming!
