Hot of the press, the rumour mill is circulating with hints of Intel 15th Gen hitting the virtual shelves in 2024.

If you’re in the market for a new tasty CPU, we’ve rounded up all the key rumours and speculation to showcase everything we can expect from Intel Arrow Lake.

Intel 15th Gen CPUs – What Can We Expect?

Intel 15th Gen, or Arrow Lake, CPUs are set to be the latest generation of Team Blue processors. As the successor to the previous 14th Gen, Arrow Lake CPUs are set to feature even more technological advancements to streamline your gaming and creative workloads.

With Intel’s hybrid core architecture making strides since its introduction with the 12th Gen line-up, we can expect this architecture to make a return with Arrow Lake. The blend of P-(performance) and E-(efficiency) cores facilitates ultra-fast performance and seamless multitasking, with Intel Thread Director ensuring the best core is assigned to the job.

On Intel 15th Gen CPUs, however, the P- and E-cores are set to be on two separate architectures. Arrow Lake performance cores are set to be built utilising Lion Cove, whilst the efficiency cores will be using Skymont, with additional rumours of a new core layout. This layout would see the E-cores positioned closer together in between the P-cores, to facilitate improved performance across single- and multi-threaded workloads.

In addition to the changes made to the core architecture, we can expect the Intel 15th Gen to feature an all-new socket design, requiring the LGA 1851. This socket boasts notably more pins in comparison to the LGA 1700 and means that you’ll need to ensure you have a compatible motherboard with this socket to upgrade to Arrow Lake.

A new socket also means new motherboard chipsets, such as the Z890. According to rumours, these chipsets will also no longer support DDR4, meaning you’ll also need a DDR5 RAM kit to fully utilise Intel 15th Gen.

The Processors

Whilst there’s no official information on what the Intel 15th Gen line-up will be. We can expect it to follow the same structure as previous generations, featuring an i9, i7, and i5 model. There are hints that these models will be titled ‘Core Ultra’.

When Are Intel 15th Gen CPUs Being Released?

All the information above is purely speculation as there are no official details released by Intel. This also means we have no fixed release date, as of yet. However, we’ll be sure to update you as soon as we get more information!
