Are You Ready for Stormgate - The Next-Gen Free-to-Play RTS

Stormgate is an action-packed RTS which puts you at the centre of a battle for survival.

We’re hyped to play this RTS when it lands in early access on July 30^th 2024, so we’re here with all the gameplay details you need. We cover everything from the early access launch schedule, multiplayer, PC specs, and our top PCs to play.

Gameplay

Human defenders and their faithful robot allies must fend against two opposing alien factions – a race of warlike demonic invaders and their advanced angelic rivals. Trapped in this relentless war for dominance and survival, you’ll need to perfect your real-time strategy skills.

Take charge of one of three factions, the Human Vanguard, Infernal Host, or the Celestial Armada, as you put your combat and strategic skills to the test. Whether you opt to team up with friends and go head-to-head against challenging AI bots in co-op, or challenge yourselves on the global competitive stage, you’ll need to command a roster of legendary heroes.

Engineered utilising Unreal Engine 5, Stormgate delivers players a unique RTS gaming experience with plenty of responsive silky-smooth gameplay and access to global servers. What’s more, in the dedicated Editor (set to release during the EA period), you can create your very own gameplay with custom maps, mods, and even game modes. All of which you can share with the community.

What is the Launch Schedule for Stormgate?

Stormgate’s early access launch will be split across two different dates. Those who purchase one of the three early access bundles will be able to play the game from July 30^th 2024. For everyone else, they can play from August 13^th 2024.

The three early access bundles include:

The Early Access Pack – includes Amara Human Vanguard Hero, the first chapter of the Vanguard campaign, and the Gold Vanguard Army Accent.
Deluxe Early Access Park – includes everything in the Early Access Pack plus the Maloc Infernal Host Hero, the Auralanna Celestial Armada Hero, and the Chicken Pet.
The Ultimate Early Access Park – includes everything in the Deluxe pack and chapters 2 and 3 of the Vanguard campaign (available after August 13^th) along with the Firestorm Fog of War Shader.

Does Stormgate Include Multiplayer?

Stormgate includes plenty of RTS multiplayer for you and the squad to enjoy. At release, Stormgate features a co-op mode against AI or an online competitive mode in which you can battle it out against other players. A 3v3 mode is also currently in development and expected to be released soon.

Is Stormgate a PC Exclusive?

Stormgate is available to play for free on PCs only.
