Hot off the gaming press is news about the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This latest instalment in the iconic game franchise will transport players to Japan as they explore this epic historical action-adventure and fight to user in a new Creed.

The Gameplay
Set in Japan 1579, unrest is growing. Driven by the iron will of daimyo Oda Nobunaga, corruption is sweeping across the country. After the brutal invasion of Iga, a once peaceful province, a young Shinobi sets off on a journey to fulfil an impossible promise, whilst a legendary Samurai confronts the demons of his past.
Play as these two protagonists – Naoe, the Shinobi Assassin, and Yasuke, a legendary samurai, as you experience their intertwined stories and fight to survive in the turbulent Sengoku period. Master their unique playstyles, as you wield Naoe’s agility or Yasuke’s lethal precision and power, to uncover their common destiny. As you play, you’ll also unlock new skills, gear, and even progression for these characters to further expand the gameplay.
Information is the ultimate weapon. Build the perfect network of spies to be your eyes and ears to hunt down your next target. You’ll need to recruit new allies with unique abilities and train this crew to help achieve your victory. Create a customisable hideout for your Shinobi league to train , craft gear, and interact with key characters. You have complete freedom over the layout, decorations, and accessories for your base.
Explore an Open-World
The backdrop to the gameplay is a stunning open world. From spectacular castle towns, bustling ports, peaceful shrines, and war-ravaged landscapes, venture across this reactive environment as you battle it out against enemies, unpredictable weather, and changing seasons.
What is the Pre-purchase Bonus Quest?
If you order the standard, gold, ultimate, or collector’s pre-order editions, you’ll receive access to an additional bonus quest – Thrown to the Dogs. In this extra expansion pack, you’ll be tasked with helping a loyal dog avenge his previous master.
When Will Assassin’s Creed Shadows Be Released?
Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been delayed. It will now be released on February 14th 2025.
Is Assassin’s Creed Shadows a PC Exclusive?
Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be available to play on PC, XBOX Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. As a single-player game only, there will be no support for crossplay.
Official PC System Specification –TBD At the Time of Writing
With an expected release date of November, it’s no surprise that the official PC specs haven’t been confirmed yet. However, we can expect the game to utilise powerful tech such as RTX-compatible GPUs to render feudal Japan in lifelike quality and high-quality SSDs to deliver ultra-fast loading times.
