Introducing the BitFenix Saber: a promising brand-new Midi-Tower. The front opts for the look of brushed aluminium complete with two strips of lighting designed to resemble a sword (or a saber!) – and of course this is where its name originates. Airflow is the name of the game here, and the innovative side-mounted strips that acts as air inlets also double up as dust filters. Conveniently for users, they are also quick and easily removed for cleaning. The top of the case also includes a dust filter, one that takes the form of a magnetic mesh cover. If users prefer to prioritise silence over airflow, there is also the option of using a noise-dampening cover instead.
Aside from the digitally addressable lighting in the front, users will be happy to know that the rear of the case gets an RGB-LED fan – and this is visible through the large tempered glass side panel along with the rest of your hardware. The lighting can, if you prefer, also be controlled via the integrated RGB controller on the I/O panel or via the motherboard’s own software.
Massive Capacity
Motherboards up to E-ATX will fit comfortably in the case, along with graphics cards up to 400 mm long and CPU coolers up to 178 mm in height. The graphics card can, if you prefer, be installed in a vertical orientation. Behind the motherboard tray lies plenty of space for stashing away cables, and the tray itself is covered in openings to help make cable management a breeze.
Storage drives are easily stowed away out of sight in the BitFenix Saber thanks to its smart design. Two 2,5- or 3,5″ drives can be installed underneath the PSU shroud and mounted on a drive cage, four further 2,5″ drives will also fit behind the motherboard tray. What isn’t camouflaged or hidden away in the case however is its cooling.
Superior Cooling
Aside from the pre-installed 120 mm RGB fan as well as the non-RGB fan, owners of the case will be pleased to note that you can still fit up to four additional 120 mm fans. Instead of three 120 mm fans in the front, you could instead fit two 140 mm fans if you so choose. Needless to say, BitFenix has also taken water cooling into account here and as a result compatible radiators are also a possibility here. The dust filters in the front, bottom and roof of the case are all easily removed without the need for tools, and they do an outstanding job of keeping your case’s interior – and with it your hard-earned hardware – clean and dust-free.
