Coming To VR: The UploadVR Showcase Special

2023’s biggest night for VR so far hit our screens earlier this week with the UploadVR Showcase. Here are all the games you need to look out for!

UploadVR added another video game announcement stream into this month’s seemingly never-ending event calendar. The UploadVR Summer Showcase kicked off earlier this week and brought with it a shedload of games that, despite our event fatigue, we’re really excited for.

Teahouse of Souls

Time for a relax and a cup of tea? In Teahouse of Souls, you’ll play in a fairytale-like space, comforting souls by harvesting crops to make soothing tea.

The Teahouse of Souls exists between the afterlife and this world. You’ll hear various souls’ stories, as you serve them the appropriate teas to help them on their journey. VR definitely needs more relaxing games, and we can’t wait to check this one out.

Dungeon Full Dive

If you’re a tabletop RPG fan, then the UploadVR Showcase even had you covered for that. Running in both VR and desktop, Dungeon Full Dive brings allows you and your friends to take on TTRPGs like never before.

Gather your party and play your favourite tabletop RPGs. In DFD, you create your own heroes, maps, and adventures, which you can play from the eyes of your miniature or in the classic TTRPG top-down mode.

Drums Rock

Continuing to rock on update after update, Drums Rock, otherwise known as VR’s answer to Guitar Hero, has officially launched. Featuring a huge selection of songs, you can rock out for hours. What’s more, you can even add your own custom songs via the Steam Workshop! Beat Saber eat your heart out.

Adding even more to this launch, you can grab Drums Rock on Steam at a discounted price thanks to their 20% off introductory discount. The sale ends on June 21^st, so be quick! Oh, and one final thing, Drums Rock even has a demo you can play right now.

Ragnarock

Not had enough VR rhythm games to fill you up yet? Don’t worry, Ragnarock has got you covered. Originally launched back in 2021, Ragnarock showcased their Sabaton Raid. The new DLC includes a new environment taking you to an epic warzone; a new pair of cannon hammers, a longship to lead you to victory, and of course, six tracks by Sabaton.

Self-described as the multiplayer VR rhythm game for rock and metal heads, Ragnarock still holds its own as one of the best VR rhythm games available. Coming June 22^nd, the Sabaton Raid DLC includes songs such as Stormtroopers, Night Witches, and To Hell and Back, just to name a few.

The Updates Don’t Stop There!

They really don’t stop. Among the new game announcements, the UploadVR Summer Showcase hosted lots of update announcements to games we already love.

Coaster Mania

Take advantage of wacky contraptions, free design choices, and more to build your own physics-based roller coaster! Coaster Mania has been available for a little while, however during the showcase a brand-new mixed reality mode was announced.

You can finally bring the roller coaster of your dreams into your physical space! Get ready to send your riders into the toilet or outside the window.

Arcade Legend

Ready to head back to the Arcade? Arcade Legend teleports you straight into the nostalgia of the arcade. With new licensed DLC, this game boasts a whole host of brand-new games, including Skee-Ball Extreme, axe throwing, and even public arcades to explore. You won’t want to miss Arcade Legends.

UploadVR Showcase Game Bundle

Ready to play some new VR games? Can’t wait for all these new titles to launch? Well, UploadVR and Humble Bundle have you covered, with a Game Bundle raising money in support of Razom for Ukraine and Direct Relief.
