Diablo II is back 20 years later and Resurrected is a completely remastered version of the original.
Gamers can return to the Hellish world of Sanctuary and enjoy the same exciting gameplay and story with all-new visuals, cinematics and features.
What is Diablo II Resurrected About?
The storyline and gameplay in Diablo II Resurrected will be identical to the original game. Blizzard said they were tempted to add more material and make major changes but, instead, it will have the same seven characters and campaigns, with no new modes or story. What’s incredible is that you can load up your old game saves from 20 years ago and simply keep on playing.
Diablo II Resurrected includes all the content from both Diablo II and its expansion, Lord of Destruction. The world of Sanctuary has many different areas to explore with horrifying demons, abominations, and undead. Players can choose from seven unique classes with varied skills, strengths, and abilities. The main goal is to reach the summit of Mount Arreat and stop Baal, with plenty of looting along the way. You’ll even be able to play online with up to eight friends with the difficulty scaling as more people join. Every player can also have their own mercenary to create a formidable army and take down the forces of evil together.
You’ll be pleased to know Blizzard has made some worthwhile tweaks to the user experience. There’s now an expanded 10×10 inventory stash so you can hoard plenty of charms, weapons, and items that can be shared across all characters. The menu has been cleaned up and there’s now advanced character stats, item comparisons, and automatic partying when you join a multiplayer game. For competitive players, the ladder seasons will restart more frequently, so you can enjoy the race to the top and get more chances to sit amongst the world’s top players.

Diablo II Resurrected Official Specifications
Diablo II Resurrected uses an entirely new 3D graphical engine with the sort of animations, models, textures, lighting, and visual effects you’d expect from a modern game. Each of the cutscenes has been completely recreated with modern technology and CGI, which will help make gameplay even more visually appealing and immersive. The game can take full advantage of modern hardware, as the audio has been remastered for 7.1 surround and there’s also the option to play at 4K resolution with a high refresh rate. Despite the option to switch back to legacy graphics on the fly, it’s likely most gamers will want to make the most of the remastered visuals.
The stunning new graphics will require some decent hardware and the official specifications are listed below.

Will My PC Run Diablo II Resurrected?
The minimum specifications are very reasonable, and it will run at 720p on older hardware, like the NVIDIA GTX 660. To take advantage of all the graphical upgrades Blizzard has artfully created, you’ll want to aim for at least the recommended specifications. The CPU specifications list a selection of six core processors with a reasonable clock speed of at least 3.4GHz. Typical of modern games, you should pair it with 16GB of RAM and at least a mid-range graphics card. If you want to experience Diablo II in all its 4K glory, then you’ll need a more powerful GPU.
The storage size required is only 30GB which is very modest for a current title. The remastered version is built on the same engine and runs on the same code as the original which could be why it is so compact and reasonably easy to run even on an older PC.
