Specifications for Doom Eternal
Bethesda recently announced the full spec list and if you want to get the most out of Doom it does require a powerful PC. Recommended specs include an RTX 2060 and at least a High-end Quad-core processor. These are what you’re going to want to aim for and will be obtainable for most people.
Ultra-Nightmare settings step things up a notch are indeed a nightmare for most PC’s to try and run. It’s the perfect setting for Gamers that don’t like compromise however it does demand top tier enthusiast components that will set you back thousands of pounds.

If the thought of spending over £1000 on a GPU is giving you Ultra-nightmares. It’s still possible to get a great experience on DOOM with an awesome bang for buck GPU. It might not be listed on the Spec list but the RX 5700XT will easily handle 1080p 60fps gameplay. If you’re not sure which model to go for, I suggest the Powercolor Red devil at £389.99. The black and red coloration scream DOOM and the red devil logo that resembles a Baron of hell demon is just too perfect.

If you’re investing in a beastly PC or planning on a huge upgrade to play DOOM it’s likely you’ll be pushing out plenty of FPS even at high resolutions. Unfortunately, even a 2080Ti isn’t quite powerful enough for 4K, 144hz gameplay but there is a good compromise that is a real sweet spot for the fast-paced gameplay Doom provides.
