EK Water Blocks’ Next Big Thing is Coming to Computex

We all know Computex is a hotbed for innovation and exciting product announcements. EK Water Blocks is in attendance this year, and they are bringing their latest game-changing innovation in water-cooling technology.

The Revolution is Here

It’s well known that water-cooling is the most efficient way to manage your gaming PC’s temperatures. Since 2010, AIO coolers have become widely available and popular to use among the general gaming population, whereas custom water-cooling loops can still feel a little unattainable. Enter the EK Nexe and DFF. These merge the simplicity of an AIO with the aesthetics and performance of a custom loop, all with a focus on ease of maintenance.

EK Nexe

The EK Nexe range is designed to be widely compatible with most hardware and cases, whilst still offering ease of installation, sleek aesthetics, and powerful cooling. The goal? To streamline and standardise water-cooling for no-hassle set up.

Key components of the Nexe range are injection moulded, to keep the price accessible, performance high, and aesthetics sleek. This is paired with features like push fittings, pre-cut tubing, and snap-on fans, making assembly as simple as slotting the pieces together.

Where this range really shines is its compatibility. The CPU water block is universal, making it usable with both Intel and AMD processors. For the GPU water block, a modular approach was taken. The cooling core is tailored to specific GPU models, such as the RTX 4080 and 4090, and actively cools the GPU and VRAM. This is paired with a CNC-milled aluminium heatsink that covers the entire GPU PCB. These parts seamlessly integrate to keep everything looking sleek.

The star of the show is the pump-reservoir combo unit. This can be used with either D5 or, more affordable, DTX pumps, sharing the enhanced compatibility of the range. What sets this apart are the two QDC fittings. One features a specialised valve. When both fittings are connected, this valve activates and allows the entire loop to flow through these two ports. The result? Efficient and effective cooling.

EK DFF

Accessibility for maintenance is a key feature of this range. This is where the EK DFF Unit comes in. Short for Draining, Flushing, and Filling, this machine is your one stop shop for keeping your water-cooling loop clean and fresh. It connects up to the QDCs on the pump-reservoir combo unit in Nexe systems, but conversation adapters will make it compatible with most other third-party cooling hardware.

Using the simple touchscreen UI, you can maintain your system using the pre-set programs or by crafting your own custom routine. These will flush, pressurise, clean, and refill your water-cooling loop, so you don’t have to do it manually. Whether you’re building a new loop or freshening up your existing thermal solution, the EK DFF Unit will save you so much time.

Computex 2024

We’re looking forward to seeing the EK Nexe and DFF hardware in action at Computex!
