With the recent gameplay and character updates about the long-awaited Diablo IV, here at Overclockers UK, we’re super excited for its release in 2023. As we all try to be patient, we’ve put together this guide to show you everything we currently know about Diablo IV and what we can expect.
What Can You Except in Diablo IV?
Gameplay:
The continuous battle between the High Heavens and the Burning Hells threatens to consume the world of Sanctuary.
Your hero must learn to adapt and evolve in order to survive against the hordes of demons and darkness that threatens the very balance of nature. Or perhaps… you may decide to succumb to the shadows.
Whatever you decide, master your chosen abilities, defeat your enemies, conquer dungeons, and explore every corner of Sanctuary on your journey.
Diablo IV will feature a huge open world for you to uncover. The world of Sanctuary includes dungeons, villages, forests, and so much more. There are even dedicated strongholds that you must fight for and reclaim for the inhabitants of Sanctuary.
Characters:
There are five classes of heroes for you to choose from in Diablo IV. Different from previous games in the franchise, you can freely create and customise your character.
Each of the five classes has a vast array of different weaponry, talents, and abilities for you to unlock and discover. Be warned, however, that whatever you choose may have an impact on the world of Sanctuary.
The classes you can choose from are:
- Barbarian
- Druid
- Necromancer
- Rogue
- Sorcerer
Story Campaign:
Diablo IV will feature an in-depth story campaign for you to play through and uncover.
In the story campaign, after eons trapped in exile, Lilith has returned to Sanctuary. Summoned by a dark and dangerous ritual, her return marks the beginning of an age of darkness and misery. You must work to defeat this darkness or join it.
Will Diablo IV Include Multiplayer?
There will be a huge multiplayer mode that includes an online and couch co-op. Developers have confirmed that there will be support for crossplay on all the platforms that Diablo IV will be available to play.
This includes PC, XBOX One, XBOX Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4.
Developers have also confirmed that on the map there will be specific areas for PvP. This means you can battle it out and rule over other online players. But be warned, you will become a target on the map if you succeed in defeating so many other players.
