Everything You Need to Know About Sniper Elite: Resistance

Sniper Elite: Resistance fully embraces the award-winning sniping mechanics of the series, dropping us waist-deep into Nazi-occupied France to do some severe damage. In this article, we’re covering everything you need to know about Sniper Elite: Resistance.

A New Fight in Occupied France

Set parallel to Sniper Elite 5, Sniper Elite: Resistance puts players in the boots of Harry Hawker, an SOE agent on a mission to sabotage a terrifying new Nazi super weapon. Working alongside the French Resistance, you’ll have to use every stealth trick, sharpshooting skill, and tactical manoeuvre in the book to dismantle the Reich’s latest scheme before it tips the balance of the war. From sabotage to assassination, this hidden war behind enemy lines is one of the most intense Sniper Elite stories yet.

Stealth, Sniping, and Tactical Combat

Sniper Elite: Resistance refines the series’ signature mix of precision shooting, stealth, and tactical third-person action. Whether you prefer long-range eliminations, sneaky infiltrations, or explosive sabotage, the freedom to find your own approach is baked in. Every mission features multiple kill list targets, infiltration routes, and extraction points, allowing for plenty of replayability.

The franchise’s iconic X-ray kill cam returns, making each sniper shot as brutal and satisfying as ever. Bones shatter, organs rupture, and bullets carve unpredictable paths through enemy bodies, ensuring every perfectly lined-up shot has a gruesome payoff. Of course, you can play just like me and always aim for the enemy’s crotch.

Weapons and Customisation

This time round, our arsenal includes authentic WWII weaponry, from sniper rifles and pistols to explosives and gadgets. Workbenches found throughout missions allow for weapon upgrades and customisation, letting you tweak scopes, barrels, stocks, and ammo types. Want to silently take out enemies? Equip suppressed rounds. Need to punch through armour? Swap in some high-calibre bullets.

Lock & Load – Take The Fight Online

Resistance brings tense multiplayer action to the battlefield with a mix of competitive and co-op modes. Take on 16-player online battles, test your skills in the returning axis invasion mode, or even team up in survival mode to fight off waves of enemies. Whether you’re sniping from the shadows or engaging in intense close combat, Sniper Elite: Resistance’s multiplayer offers up plenty of content.
