The AMD Ryzen 7000 Series

What’s more, with a hefty data width, of up to 256-bit, enjoy ultra-fast speeds and image processing. Each of the four processors will also come armed with AMD RDNA 2. These graphics have been primed for optimum performance and improved energy-efficiency, thanks to the brand-new I/O 6nm die.
In addition to all of this, this line of CPUs is fully equipped to support the latest generation of technology, including DDR5 and PCIe 5.0. Along with an intelligent combination of integrated L1, L2, and L3 cache.

What Do I Need to Upgrade My PC?
Motherboard:
In order to harness the power of the AMD Ryzen 7000 series, you will need a motherboard that has a compatible AM5 socket. It’s important to note, that these CPUs now utilise an LGA socket instead of a PGA, meaning they will not work with previous generation motherboards.

AM5 CPU Cooler:
These CPUs have a high TDP (Thermal Design Power), which means you need an efficient cooler that is compatible with the AM5 socket, to keep it performing at its best.

DDR5 RAM:
Since the AMD Ryzen 7000 series only supports DDR5 RAM, you will need to upgrade to the latest standard. In fact, AMD has also engineered intelligent AMD Expo technology, specifically for these CPUs. Expo has been designed to make overclocking simpler and more user-friendly. With compatible Expo RAM kits, you can unlock ultra-fast memory and buttery smooth frame rates in all your favourite games.
