You’d have to be a real nerf-herder to not sense the nostalgia is strong with this one. Traveller’s Tales has completely rebuilt this classic for the next generation, down to every last stud. Let’s jump in and see what adventures await.
Experience the Entire Skywalker Saga for the First Time
For the first time in a Lego Star Wars game, all nine films of the Skywalker Saga have been adapted. Not only is this The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker’s first appearance in the series, but all previous films have been completely overhauled. This is a brand-new Lego Star Wars game, not a remaster or compilation like Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga was.
You can dive into the Skywalker Saga’s triumvirate of trilogies in any order, bucking the linear approach of most Lego video games. From there you can relive each trilogy in its entirety, with fully voiced cutscenes and gameplay peppered with Traveller’s Tales signature brand of irreverent Lego humour.
Feel the Force Awaken
The galaxy is yours to explore with over 300 hundred iconic Star Wars characters to play as. Options range from lightsaber wielders, who can attack combos peppered with Force moves, to uncivilised blasters that can tactically target enemy’s limbs with free aim.
It’s not just characters from the Star Wars universe featured but locations as well. Fly between solar systems in everything from the Millenium Falcon to the Slave-I and head to new worlds for your next mission, engaging in interstellar dogfights with TIE Fighters and Star Destroyers on the way. Then land on fully explorable planets for your next mission, or to go on an adventure for upgrades and sidequests.
What About Other Star Wars Films?
Conspicuous by their absence are Rogue One and Solo, the two spin-off films that are not strictly part of the Skywalker Saga, and Disney+ shows like The Mandalorian and The Bad Batch. While they won’t have playable levels added in, their iconic characters will be made available as DLC. Multiple packs are now available to download, so you can live out your best Baby Yoda adventures, and more.
Does Lego Star Wars Support Multiplayer?
It wouldn’t be Lego Star Wars if there wasn’t fun for all the family. The Skywalker Saga can be played by up to two players via local co-op on all platforms. It’s available to play on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5.
