Exciting New CPU Coolers: Phanteks Polar ST Series

With stylish good looks and excellent thermal potential, these air-coolers are going to give your cooling system a boost. Read on to find out why we’re heckin’ excited for these ones!

Phanteks Polar ST Series

The Phanteks Polar ST Series currently consists of two CPU coolers. The Polar ST4 and the ST5. The number indicates how many heat pipes are included in the design. As such, the ST4 features four sintered copper heat pipes and has been optimised for entry-level systems, with a maximum TDP of 235W. Meanwhile, the ST5 has five copper heat pipes, an all-black design that includes a top plate cover, and a max TDP of 255W, making it more suited to mainstream and high-end machines.

M25-120 Fan

While each model is targeted for different thermal performance brackets, they both feature a Phantek M25-120 PWM DRGB fan. This 120mm fan brings outstanding airflow to the game! Thanks to PWM functionality, you can adjust the fan speeds between 400 and 2000 RPM, precisely matching your current CPU load. It can create up to 84.26 CFM airflow at a static pressure of 2.67mmH2O – all while staying at a maximum noise level of 35.7dBA. Beauts.

On top of this, the M25-120 boasts vibrant DRGB lighting, adding a spicy splash of colour to the Phanteks Polar ST Series coolers. All the necessary cables are included within the scope of delivery and plug directly into your motherboard. From there, you can configure this fan using popular RGB software such as ASUS Aura Sync, RGB Fusion 2.0, MSI Mystic Light, ASRock Polychrome Sync, and Razer Chroma.

Optimised Design

Every aspect of the Phanteks Polar ST Series CPU coolers has been optimised for effective and efficient cooling. What’s more, special care has been taken to ensure they won’t interfere with your RAM modules. You babe, Phanteks.

On both the ST4 and ST5, the heat pipes make direct contact with the CPU heatspreader. This allows the heat pipes to effectively draw heat away from the CPU, to then be expelled via the heat stack. A Phanteks PH-NDC thermal compound is included with each cooler, too. This is a high-performance 4.3W/m-k thermal paste that will plug any gaps between the cooler and CPU socket. All about that thermal efficiency!
