Celebrating the best game released in 2023 and chosen by the Gayming Awards diverse panel of judges, this year’s winner is no surprise.

Indie games have always been forerunners in showcasing LGBTQ+ topics and genuine relationships. This award category acknowledges the best indie game made by an independent developer focused on telling an LGBTQ+ story or heavily featuring LGBTQ+ themes.

More than just inclusion in gaming, authentic representation of the LGBTQ+ experience is incredibly important. This award showcases the best examples of genuine representation in a game.

Representation Why It Matters

The last year has been jam-packed with new and returning LGBTQ+ characters. This award recognises the best LGBTQ+ playable or significant NPC character in a game.

Gayming Icon Award 

The Gayming Icon Award is given to an individual who has contributed towards increasing the visibility of the LGBTQ+ community in the gaming industry. This year, Gayming Magazine revealed Jermey Crawford, lead rules designer of Dungeons & Dragons, has been named 2024’s Gayming Icon.  

LGBTQ Streamer Rising Star Class of ’24

Each year, the Gayming Awards intakes a new class of five steamers, all of which have made incredible progress in their streaming career over the last year. For 2024, the class is:
