How You Should Spend This Star Wars Day

It’s every Star Wars fan’s favourite time of year: Star Wars Day 2024 is here!

How You Should Spend This Star Wars Day

With new releases on the horizon and plenty we can already play, it’s setting up to be an exciting Star Wars Day, indeed. So, my young Padawan, dig out your cosplay, get ready to debate the prequels and sequels, and warm up that hyperdrive! We’ve got the games and hardware you need to celebrate.

Star Wars Outlaws

Ubisoft’s latest Star Wars title, Star Wars Outlaws, is due to release on August 30th 2024. Mark your calendars, if you haven’t already! While the pricing is causing a stir in the gaming community, the game itself looks to be a stunning adventure across the Star Wars Universe.

The Empire and the Rebellion are at loggerheads across the galaxy, leaving the scoundrels and outlaws free to come out and play. You play such a scoundrel, Kay Vess pilot of the Trailblazer, with her creature companion Nix always nearby. Move over Baby Yoda, I want a plushie Nix!

Your travels take you across the galaxy on high-stakes missions for the galaxy’s most wanted crime syndicates. Along the way, you’ll explore new planets, rife with crime and adventure. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Star Wars game if there weren’t some familiar faces to find, too!

There are no official specifications listed on EPIC Games, currently, but a number of articles list the minimum and recommended specs as follows:

May the 4th Be With You

Naturally, with it being Star Wars Day now, we want to play games that are already out. We have three classic Star Wars games for you to check out (or remember are buried in the depths of your Steam library!) and the hardware you need to best enjoy them.

Star Wars: The Old Republic

Star Wars: The Old Republic is a popular MMORPG, where you can play as a Jedi, Sith, Bounty Hunter, or more. It all depends on which side of the Force you fall on, really! Set three thousand years before the classic films, this massively multiplayer online RPG is an open world adventure with ten years of content and developments behind it.

There are eight unique stories and sixteen combat styles to master, with extensive customisation options as you level up. Plus, since the introduction of the Legacy of the Sith Expansion, you can separate your character’s Class Story from gameplay style and explore Advanced Class options.

Create your own Star Wars legacy and become the hero of your own saga.
