For January, we are taking a closer look at the colourful 2D platformer… ANTONBLAST!
What is ANTONBLAST?
ANTONBLAST is a fast-paced and explosive 2D action platformer from Summitsphere. Playing as the enraged Dynamite Anton or his co-worker Annie, you must smash your way through colourful worlds with your trusty Mighty F’n Hammer in hand.
Why is Anton so enraged? Satan, himself, has stolen their prized Spirit collection and he wants it back. With the help of local casino owner, Brulo, you must make sure the devil pays. How? By setting Brulo’s detonators, finding a spirit, and escaping before Happy Hour ends!
This unique platformer features brutal bosses, destructible environments, and a dynamic playstyle that allows you to charge through the levels at speed or explore in your own time.
ANTONBLAST Reception
Since its release on December 3rd 2024, ANTONBLAST has garnered acclaim from critics and players alike. At the time of writing, player reviews on Steam are Overwhelmingly Positive and there are some choice quotes from the likes of TheGamer and GamesRadar.
Antonblast feels like it’s strapped rocket boosters onto the Wario Land formula and smashed it into a brick wall, raining down a wave of brilliant action that feels astonishingly fresh despite its retro influences once the dust settles.
