Marking the beginning of a gaming revolution – it is expected that Intel will soon release their new line of graphics cards, Intel Arc. Expertly engineered to allow you to enjoy gaming, content creation and streaming with no limits.

Our team of experts at Overclockers UK have decided to compile all the information you need on this new generation of GPU. All of your questions will be answered!

Intel Xe-HPG Microarchitecture

As the foundation to Intel Arc, Xe-HPG microarchitecture has been expertly built to deliver breakthrough performance and efficiency for gamers and creators alike.

This GPU architecture features dedicated Xe-cores with built-in XMX AI support and 3D acceleration hardware. Each Xe-core has been configured with 256-bit vector engines to deliver you an accelerated performance.

Xe-HPG architecture also merges rasterisation and ray-tracing into one thanks to the dedicated graphic acceleration hardware. This integrated software has been optimised to work effortlessly alongside DirectX 12 Ultimate and Vulkan. This means you can enjoy true visual fidelity and lighting, along with enhanced ray traversals in all your favourite AAA titles!

In addition, the Render Slice is how Xe-HPG configures between low power to enthusiast-level PCs. A large L2 cache offers you the flexibility to scale between multi-slice configurations and connect to a discrete GPU.

XeSS (Xe Super Sampling)

XeSS or Xe Super Sampling introduces a whole new gaming experience. Thanks to AI-enhanced upscaling, this next-generation technology increases the output resolution whilst maintaining high-quality image fidelity, even at maximum settings.

Here are a few examples of the latest games compatible with XeSS – with many more being released soon

Intel Deep Link Technology

Harness the true potential of the latest generation of Intel CPUs and Intel Arc with intelligent Intel Deep Link Technology.  Enjoy streamlined efficiency and an elevated performance across content creation, gaming and productivity alike.

With a dedicated hyper encode engine, take advantage of blisteringly fast response times and utilise multiple media programs for enhanced encoding. Perfect for those looking to stream and create content!

Plus, Dynamic power share technology, intelligently splits your workloads between your processor and graphics card, to deliver you enhanced performance, regardless of the task.

What to Expect

Intel Arc will be available as add-in graphics cards and notebook form factors from a range of global partners in 2022.

These partners include;

  • ASUS
  • Gigabyte
