There are nine water blocks joining the line-up. Not only do we have a selection of blocks for three different brands, but they are also available in three different colours. Pair with an MSI, ASUS, or Gigabyte GPU, and select from black, white, or chrome. All with beautiful DRGB lighting too!

Premium Materials
The backbone of these water blocks is the premium materials that have been utilised. Specially selected for their durability, conductivity, and and a touch of luxury. A water block is made up of a coldplate, jetplate, and cover – plus these models include a separate, dedicated backplate for extra strength and support. Here is a breakdown of each of these components and their materials:
- Coldplate. The coldplate is manufactured from 100% copper, a highly conductive material ideal in any thermal solution.
- Jetplate. The jetplate holds the liquid coolant that draws heat away from the graphics card. The chosen material is clear cast acrylic, perfect for showing off coloured coolant and the DRGB lighting.
- Backplate. The dedicated backplate is aluminium, lending strength and stability to the mounting process. This attaches to the rear PCI bracket and includes a 0.25mm Mylar layer.
- Covers. The covers are also aluminium, coloured either in satin black, chrome, or matte white. Like the backplate, this also helps to provide structural integrity to the water block.
- O-rings. To keep the system water-tight, these water blocks utilise Viton O-Rings. These are primarily used in automotive and aerospace industries, because of their incredible durability and reliability. You won’t be springing a leak with these!
High-Performance Cooling
With an excellent foundation of premium materials, the Phanteks Glacier G40 Water Block is primed for high-performance cooling. Firstly, the coldplate fully covers the graphics card – maximising contact. Most importantly, it directly cools the memory and the power delivery components on the PCB. Next, the jetplate rests directly over the GPU die, ensuring optimal heat transfer. What’s more, the backplate may be included for structural integrity, but the aluminium also serves as a heat sink, too! Tasty stuff.
In addition to all this, there has been a quality-of-life improvement made on the Phanteks Glacier G40 Series. The fitting locations have been moved, thus making tube routing much easier. Especially helpful in small form factor builds. As such, these water blocks can be seamlessly integrated into your gaming PC with ease.
