2024 is in full swing now and there’s never been a better time to start thinking about updating your gaming set-up. There’s plenty of incredible new tech out there just waiting to boost your gaming and productivity.

Don’t know where to start? We’ve put together this handy round up of all the key updates you should make to your PC and set-up in 2024.

What Updates Should I Make in 2024?

PCIe 5.0

PCIe 5.0 has been fine-tuned for high-performance gaming and demanding workloads. This standard boasts a hefty bandwidth of 128 GB/s and a max frequency of 32GHz, to deliver you blisteringly fast transfer speeds. Your gameplay or long hours of work will remain uninterrupted by input lag or slow loading times.

It is backwards compatible with other PCIe standards, meaning you can still utilise an older gen in a PCIe 5.0 slot. If you do, however, you won’t be able to reap the ultra-fast speeds PCIe 5.0 delivers.
