High-Efficiency Cooling
Kolink knows a thing or two about keeping components cool for optimum performance, as demonstrated by their exceptional line of PC cases. They have utilised this knowledge to create a small form factor CPU cooler that boasts a TDP of 180W.
To achieve this performance, Kolink has utilised four 6mm copper heat pipes that make direct contact with the IHS of the CPU. This innovative design permits the heat produced by the CPU to be channelled away from it extremely quickly.
This heat is then transferred to the fin stack of the CPU cooler, where it quickly dissipates to the surrounding air. This fin stack is formed of forty-one aluminium sheets that measure 130mm by 0.3mm. Furthermore, this CPU cooler utilises an Electrophoresis process to coat the whole cooler in a stylish black coating. This special coating impedes heat radiation far less than traditional coating would.
Every Cooler Needs a Fan
Alongside their experience with cases, Kolink also produce a range of exceptional PWM fans. This CPU cooler is equipped with a 9-blade design to accompany the Umbra EX-180. With this design, this fan can achieve exceptional airflow while being whisper quiet.
The included Kolink fan is able to run at speeds ranging from 800 RPM to 1800 RPM. When running at 100%, it can achieve an astounding airflow of 73.6CFM, while maintaining an impressive static flow of 2.12mmH2O. Although this fan offers incredible performance, it still doesn’t go above 28.6dB(A). That’s as quiet as leaves rustling in a breeze. Kolink has utilised two innovations to achieve this amazing feat of sound dampening. Firstly, the EX-180 has vibration pads where the fan makes contact with the cooler. These pads isolate the fan from the cooler, preventing any vibrations produced from being transferred. Secondly, the hydraulic bearings reduce the internal friction leading to less whine.
The Umbra EX-180 comes with a choice of two types of fans. The Black Edition features an all-black 120mm PWM fan. Meanwhile, the ARGB Edition features a beautiful LED-lit PWM fan with a clear hub and blades. The RGB of this fan can be controlled via your motherboard through a 3-pin 5V connector, for a unified aesthetic with your other RGB components.
