Nothing to See Here, Move Along

No wait, don’t move along! You do want to see this if you’re a fan of building the cleanest gaming PCs. AIOs are in general a fantastic option for an impressive build. They keep your CPU cool, whilst letting you see all the funky parts of your computer, such as your motherboard and RAM kit. Especially important if they have RGB!

But those pesky cooling pipes get in the way, running from the CPU block to the radiator. Well worry no more, Lian Li has come up with an ingenious solution to this problem!

Instead of the pipes coming out of your rad and then making a beeline for your CPU, the Lian Li HydroShift AIO lets you run the pipes along the sides of your radiator. Once they reach halfway along, they exit from hiding to make a short journey to the top of your CPU block. So instead of having around 500mm of tube running all over your case, you’ll see maybe 50mm.

Even better, the tubes running along the radiator can be covered up as well, thanks to the L-shaped shrouds. These AIOs come with a choice of two covers, depending on how you orientate this hardware. Simply route your pipes where you need them, then click the covers in place and voila, your pipes are hidden!

Small and Mighty

Now, we shouldn’t forget that the Lian Li HydroShift is a CPU cooler – and a very good one at that! A HydroShift AIO can tame the thermals of even the most powerful CPUs, from either Intel or AMD.

You may think making the pump smaller will impact the cooling performance of the AIO, but it’s had the opposite effect. In fact, with this pump, CPU temperatures have been reduced by up to 1.5 degrees! It’s quieter, too. The noise produced by this motor is 2dB(A) less than the pump in a Lian Li Galahad II Performance AIO.

Dissipating That Heat!

To ensure the best possible cooling performance for the HydroShift AIO, Lian Li has equipped it with a highly efficient radiator and three powerful fans. Each model of the Lian Li HydroShift utilises a large 360mm radiator with multiple aluminium fins arrayed in a single way pattern. This maximises surface area, whilst minimising air resistance.

Each model uses a different set of fans. The 360S model utilises three standard fans, capable of producing 73.14CFM, at a static pressure of 5mmH2O. Meanwhile, the 360R is equipped with a trio of RGB fans that output 79.9CFM and 3.26mmH2O. Finally, the 360TL comes with three of Lian Li’s flagship UNI FAN TL cooling fans, capable of delivering an airflow of 90.1CFM at a pressure of 3.97mmH2O.

To RGB or Not to RGB…

In addition to offering different performance metrics, the fans boast different aesthetics. Perfect for the minimalist gamer, the 360S features a standard cooling fan, with no RGB for an understated finish. If you do fancy adding a bit of RGB, these fans are compatible with the Lian Li P28 lighting kit, which will accent to the sides of the fans.

Next, the 360R comes with three vibrant RGB fans. These boast beautiful lighting in several zones around the fan. The central hub and fan blades can be illuminated as they are constructed of semi-transparent plastic, and each side of the fan frame features an RGB light strip.

Finally, the UNI FAN TL fans take the 360TL’s RGB lighting up another notch, with two lighting strips running across the side and top of the fan frame. Plus, each side boasts a unique RGB infinity mirror display. The lighting can be independently controlled, allowing for different colours and effects to be displayed on each side.

Now it’s Just Showing Off

Let’s get down to the real eye candy. With the Lian Li HydroShift Series, you have a choice of three phenomenal styles, each available in black or white.

All three models feature a vivid 2.88″ IPS display on the pump block. This little screen is perfect for all manner of things, as it is compatible with JPEG, PNG, GIF, and MP4 file formats. So, you can slap up your favourite anime waifu, have a clip of your last gaming session, or even a short animation playing. Alternatively, this screen can be used to monitor your system information, displaying CPU temps or GPU clock speeds.

Whatever you choose to show on the HydroShift LCD screen, you can configure the display using Lian Li L-Connect 3. This powerful software boasts real time monitoring of your gaming hardware, along with a range of options for how this information is displayed on the screen.
