NVIDIA graphics cards each come equipped with a plethora of cutting-edge features, all of which have been designed for gamers, streamers, and content creators. This list of integrated hardware is certainly comprehensive and that’s why we created our blog series titled, ‘NVIDIA Inside Look’, to take a closer look at all their ground-breaking tech.

In this blog post, we’re covering NVIDIA Reflex, detailing what it is, compatible games, and how Reflex can boost your in-game performance.

What is NVIDIA Reflex?

NVIDIA Reflex has been designed to reduce your input lag and latency to notably improve your in-game performance. Reflex optimises both your GPU and game settings to deliver near zero latency.

This is perfect for fans of fast-paced FPS titles, as you’ll be able to catch every second of the action as and when it happens. In fact, NVIDIA Reflex can help to reduce rendering lag by up to 80%, meaning you’ll have no display stutter breaking up your immersion or affecting your performance during those critical moments.

How Does NVIDIA Reflex Work?

NVIDIA Reflex consists of two primary components – Reflex SDK and Reflex Latency Analyser.

Reflex SDK (software development kit) has been fine-tuned to reduce and measure any latency in your GPU during rendering. Game developers can integrate Reflex SDK into any game.

The Reflex Latency Analyser is a latency measurement tool. It is available on all 360Hz compatible G-Sync gaming monitors and certain esports peripherals. This intelligent piece of tech can detect your mouse clicks and then measure the time it takes for the pixels to change on your monitor.

Compatible NVIDIA Reflex Games

NVIDIA Reflex is available in a variety of games. We’ve included a few of our favourites below.

Overwatch 2
God of War

How Can NVIDIA Reflex Improve My Gaming Performance?

NVIDIA Reflex can notably boost your in-game performance. With this intelligent technology, you can measure and track your in-game latency through both your monitor and peripherals. This will help to enhance your in-game response times, giving you a distinct competitive edge over your enemies.

You can wave goodbye to input lag or display stutter breaking up your immersion and those critical boss battles. You’ll see all the action, and enemies poking around the corner, as and when it happens, aiding you in your victory.

What Hardware Do I Need for NVIDIA Reflex?

To fully utilise NVIDIA Reflex, you need both a compatible monitor and gaming mouse.

Your monitor will need to at least be a 1440p G-Sync display capable of performing at up to 360Hz. There are also some 4K displays that feature support for NVIDIA Reflex. We recommend you check your monitor manufacturer page to see if your display is compatible.

In addition to this, you’ll need a Reflex Mouse. Paired with the Reflex Latency Analyser, your compatible mouse will be able to register and measure the time it takes for your screen to register your clicks.

There are multiple compatible Reflex Mice, with models available from a number of popular manufacturers including Corsair and Logitech.
