NVIDIA RTX 5070 Rumours

Since the beginning of 2024, we’ve all been waiting on the edge of our seats for the NVIDIA RTX 50 Series release. Our gaming PCs are just desperate for even more CUDA cores and visual power to render our virtual adventures like never before.  

To scratch our GPU itch, we’ve rounded up everything we know so far about all the GPUs expected to release in 2025. This blog post is all about the RTX 5070.  


RTX 5070 – The Rumoured Specs  

First things first, everything in this post is speculation. There’s been no official confirmation or announcement from NVIDIA… Yet… But when they do finally announce the RTX 5070, we’ll be sure to update you.  

Similar to all the other GPUs in the RTX 5000 Series, the NVIDIA 5070 will be built upon Blackwell architecture, boasting 6400 CUDA cores and support for advanced hardware acceleration to revolutionise your gaming experience. With rumoured speeds ranging between 2235MHz to 2520MHz, you can unlock blisteringly fast rendering in a range of graphically intensive tasks from AAA competitive gaming, live streaming, video editing, and more.  

The RTX 5070 is set to feature both fifth-generation Tensor and fourth-gen RT cores to deliver incredible lifelike visuals and buttery-smooth gameplay which is sure to prove advantageous during the heat of battle. It’s rumoured that the NVIDIA 5070 will also feature support for NVIDIA’s suite of integrated tech such as DLSS and Reflex to further enhance your gaming experience and immersion. 

The expected 12GB of GDDR7 video memory operating a 192-bit interface and PCIe 5.0 connectivity ensures you can achieve maximum efficiency across all your workloads. The 5070 RTX will also include the 16-pin power connector, boasting a max TDP of 220W. However, NVIDIA is expected to recommend a 500W PSU to handle all the power demands of this GPU.

When Will the NVIDIA RTX 5090 Be Released? 

The rumour mill is circulating with hints at an official announcement at CES 2025 in January. However, based on previous release schedules, we might not see the RTX 5070 hit the virtual shelves until a few months later. For example, the RTX 4090 was released in October 2022, but we didn’t see the 4070 until April 2023.
