The rumour mill is circulating once again with endless hints and speculation about the upcoming NVIDIA RTX 5080.
We, for one, are truly hyped for the NVIDIA RTX 50 Series release. While we wait eagerly on the edge of our seats, here’s everything we know about the RTX 5080 so far!
RTX 5080 – The Rumoured Specs
Before we get into the nitty-gritty, there’s been no official announcement from NVIDIA about the NVIDIA RTX 5000 Series. This is purely speculation, but when we do have more information from NVIDIA about the RTX 5080, we’ll be sure to update you.
Similar to the RTX 5090, the NVIDIA 5080 will be engineered utilising the Blackwell architecture, harnessing 10752 CUDA cores to render your gaming worlds in glorious detail. The 5080 is rumoured to be able to reach speeds between 2235MHz to 2520MHz, meaning you’ll be able to enjoy ultra-fast performance in all your multi-threaded applications from AAA gaming, live streaming, to content creation, and much more. What’s more, the expected 16GB GDDR7, support for PCIe 5.0, and 256-bit memory interface will all work in sync to ensure maximum efficiency across all your heavy-duty workloads.
Support for hardware acceleration, ray tracing, and DirectX 12 means the RTX 5080 is the ultimate upgrade for gaming enthusiasts. If these rumoured specs are true, you’ll be able to enjoy your favourite virtual adventures in stunning lifelike quality, complete with buttery-smooth frame rates courtesy of DLSS.
To mitigate any thermal issues with the NVIDIA 5080, this GPU is rumoured to feature onboard triple-slot cooling to help facilitate optimised thermals, even under heavy-duty loads. To ensure the RTX 5080 stays cool and performs at its best, it’s expected that NVIDIA will recommend you pair this GPU with at least a 750W PSU to handle its 350W TDP.
