We are back with our monthly Indie Showcase, where we pick one of the many gems produced by independent game developers and make sure it gets some well-deserved time in the sun. For October, we are getting our spooky on and taking a closer look at… Demonologist!
What is Demonologist?
Demonologist, by Clock Wizard Games, is a co-op horror game for one to four players. Launched back in September, this indie scare-fest has received a positive welcome, so far. To make sure it scares you silly, Demonologist was developed in Unreal Engine 5 – for the best horror graphics out there.
The aim of the game is to find and exorcise the evil spirit haunting a cursed location. Brave it on your own or do it as a team, every game has unique and random encounters to keep the frights real. Plus, the actions you take could have very real in-game consequences. A simple word could open a secret door.
Good for more than just a jump scare or two, Demonologist provides a wide scope of customisation options which you can buy with the money earned for each exorcism. What’s more, there are multiple maps to explore, a myriad of equipment to master, and new events being added.
