The new year is rapidly approaching, and you’ve only got a few short hours left to get your gaming resolutions for 2025 sorted. If you’re struggling for ideas, then you’re certainly in the right place.
We asked around the Overclockers UK office for everyone’s gaming resolutions to help inspire your 2025 plans.
Complete the Persona Games – Liam, Returns Team
We’re kicking things off with Liam’s 2025 gaming resolution – to complete all the Persona games. If you don’t know what the Persona games are, it’s a series of JRPG life sims where you and a group of close friends use your bonds to try and make big changes in Japan.
Liam’s got a hefty 28 games to playthrough, including six main entries and countless spin-offs. We wish you luck!
Do a Stardew Valley Perfection Run – Emily, Content Team
It’s no secret that Emily from the Content team is a big lover of farming sims. Therefore, we’re not surprised that her 2025 gaming resolution is to complete a Stardew Valley perfection run. 100%’ing a video game can be a challenging task, and while it may look like a cosy game, a perfection run in Stardew Valley is certainly no easy feat. There’s crafting and cooking recipes to complete, plenty of monsters to defeat, a ten million gold clock to acquire, and lots of villagers to befriend.
Get a Mechanical Keyboard – Gareth, Marketing Team
Move out of the way membrane, Gareth, our Digital Marketing Lead has decided 2025 is the year he finally upgrades to a mechanical keyboard. It’s long overdue but we can’t wait to see which mechanical keyboard he picks – will it be a Ducky, Glorious, or something else entirely?

Earn the Alphabet Legacy Achievement in The Sims 4 – Ruth, Content Team
Yes, yes, The Sims is all I talk about, and my gaming resolution is no different! The Sims 4 features plenty of in-game achievements for players to earn whether this is becoming a ghost, befriending the Grim Reaper, or being eaten by a cowplant.
The achievement I hope to earn in 2025 is the Alphabet Legacy. I’ve got 26 generations of one family to play through before I can complete this rate achievement. Please give me ideas for my legacy in the comments!
Play a Wider Variety of New Games – Briony, Video Team
Countless new games are released every month. We’re truly spoilt for choice when it comes to our video games, therefore Briony hopes to spend more of her time exploring these new gaming worlds, adventures, and storylines.

Actually Play a Video Game – Glyn, Content Team
You can’t work at the home of PC gaming without playing an actual video game… Looking at you content manager, Glyn… We’ve finally convinced him that his 2025 gaming resolution should be to play an actual video game. What game is up to him, but I’d put money on it being Pokémon related.
Finish My Gaming Backlog – Ed, Video Team
There just isn’t enough time in the year to play every game. Not when Ed is busy creating our incredible video content from YouTube videos to hit TikToks. In 2025, he’s hoping to spend more of his time clearing up his gaming backlog. And of course, continuing to bless our screens with AAA content.
Play Less Counter-Strike 2 – Steven, Marketing Team
Is there such a thing as less video games? Well, for Steven in the marketing team, he hopes to put an end to his Counter-Strike 2 addiction and invest his time in playing other games.

Try VR Gaming – George, Returns Team
VR is only growing and becoming more popular with great VR games being released every month. Therefore, it’s no surprise that George in our Returns Team has big hopes of giving VR a try in 2025.

Find all the Koroks in Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Emma, Marketing Team
Last but not least, Emma from Marketing has got big plans to find every single Korok in Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Koroks, or the Forest Spirits, are an adorable race of wooden people who call the Korok Forest their home.
While they may be super cute, hunting every single Korok isn’t an easy task. In fact, Emma’s got a whopping 900 Korok seeds to find while she traverses the world of Hyrule.
