PC modding allows for greater customisation and for you to add your own unique touch to your system.
There are hundreds of different modding options available, therefore we’ve decided to start our very own ‘PC Modding with OcUK’ series. We’ll be taking a deep dive into our modding department, covering all the different configuration options that you can purchase at Overclockers UK.
What is PC Modding?
PC modding is the personalisation of your PC’s hardware or chassis. This can range from adding case LED lighting, to installing noise dampening panels, and even painting your case.
Does Modding My Case Void the Warranty?
If you make any physical changes by modding your PC, this could void the warranty. This means if you have purchased a full gaming PC from us and it needs to come back to us for repairs and testing, you might have to cover the cost of this yourself.
If you are modding a case that you have purchased separately, you are also likely voiding the warranty, if you are making irreversible changes. We recommend you always check with the manufacturer for more information.

PC Modding with OcUK
Noise Dampening
Our noise dampening kits have been designed to reduce any unwanted noise created by your PC.
These kits have been built from high-density foam and finished with a soft matte black top layer to significantly dampen any access noise, whilst the adhesive backing makes installation a breeze.
Case Lighting & LED
Case lighting and LEDs are a perfect way to add a splash of colour to your gaming PC.
LED strips can be utilised to highlight your precious components, which you can display with pride especially if your case features a tempered glass side panel. Typically, most LED strips are compatible with an RGB lighting software, such as ASUS AURA Sync or MSI Mystic Light.
Sleeved Cables
Sleeved cables are an easy way to add your own unique touch to your PC. Available in a variety of different materials and colours, you are sure to find a set that perfectly matches your desired aesthetic.
What’s more, there are also options available to help improve cable management and even extend your cables for those tight, hard to reach spots or small form factor PCs.
Dust Filters
Dust filters are an essential aspect to any PC.
An excess build-up of dust can increase temperatures and even result in damage to your components. However, a high-quality dust filter blocks the intake to help keep your PC cool and quiet.
In addition to investing in dust filters, we also recommend that you clean them regularly. Simply removing the dust on the filters will keep them in tip top shape.

Fan Guards
A fan guard not only provides a protective barrier around the spinning fan blades, it also helps to improve airflow whilst reducing noise.
Fan Controllers
A fan controller allows you to directly control the speeds of your fans. You can adjust it to suit your individual preferences. If you are gaming or streaming, you can increase the speeds to ensure the vital components remain cool, yet whilst your PC is idle, the speeds can be lowered for improved efficiency and reduced noise production.
Acrylic Sheets
An acrylic sheet can be used to customise the exterior of your PC case. You can opt to utilise an arcylic sheet as a replacement for a tempered glass side panel.
Acrylic sheets are available in a vast array of different colours, suitable for any aesthetic.
Modding Accessories
Our modding accessories have been designed to make the processes even easier. This includes cable ties to neatly tuck away excess wires, antistatic wrist cuffs to protect vital components from static electricity, and cleaning tools such as compressed air cans.
