To achieve this, the Glacier One D30 AiO has been manufactured to an exceptional standard, using only the finest materials. This includes a pure copper contact plate for the pump, which is highly effective at transferring heat from your CPU to the coolant. To circulate this fluid around the loop, Phanteks have utilised a powerful pump, boasting a motor which can spin the impeller at speeds of up to 3100RPM. What’s more, it’s practically silent, producing just 20dB(A) of noise at max speed!

The final piece of the puzzle, for creating an efficient cooling solution, is moving heat away from the coolant so that it can flow back to the pump to start the process over. To do this, the Glacier One D30 utilises a 27mm thick aluminium radiator to dissipate the heat to the surrounding air. These radiators feature a single-wave design for the fins, which provides an ample surface area for the heat to transfer across.

Now Available in Three Sizes

The Phanteks Glacier One D30 AIO launched back in August, with both a 240mm and 360mm model available. Fast forward to now, and they have released a cooler with an even larger radiator, 420mm in fact.

This cooler still boasts the same outstanding build quality of the smaller models. Including the same premium quality materials in the construction, as well as utilising the same powerful yet quiet motors to circulate coolant. What sets this model apart, is that it utilises a larger radiator, which measures 456mm x 138.5mm x 27mm (L x W x D), as well as three of Phanteks amazing 140mm D30 fans instead of 120mm fans.

Thicker Fans, Better Performance

Now let’s get on to the really fun bit of the D30 AiO, the phenomenal fans. Phanteks has opted for their fantastic D30 fans. These chonky fans are thicker than the usual case fans you’d find, coming in at 30mm thick instead of 25mm.

With this extra thickness, they can produce similar results to slimmer fans without having to work as hard. In fact, the 120mm fans can produce an amazing airflow of 64.3CFM, with a static air pressure of 3.01mmH2O, while spinning at just 2000RPM. What’s more, this low speed, combined with their innovative seven bladed fan design, allows them to stay whisper quiet, at just 30.2dB(A).

Meanwhile the 140mm fans can create 71.93CFM of airflow, at a static air pressure of 3.32mmH2O. What’s more with their larger diameter the 140mm fans do not seem to spin as fast as the 120mm versions. In fact they only need to spin at 1800RPM to achieve these results. As such these fans only produce 29.5dB(A) of acoustic noise at max speed.

Less Clutter

Not only do the D30 fans produce exceptional results in cooling, but they are also ideal for building exceptionally clean gaming PCs. This is because you can control up to four D30 fans with a single cable, as they feature a proprietary daisy chain system.

Each fan has connectors on the corners of the frame that can be linked together with a proprietary bridge clip. Add an extra standard clip on the other side, and your fans are now connected. Repeat these steps two more times, and you can create a cluster of up to four fans. They can then be connected to your motherboard using the specialised fan cable which slips onto the corner and plugs into a standard PWM header.

What’s more, for the ultimate clean aesthetic, D30 fans come with a set of screw-hole covers. These simply clip into place over the mounting holes. This helps to create a seamless look for all your fans.

Plenty of RGB

For those who love RGB lighting, then the Phanteks Glacier One D30 AiO doesn’t disappoint. Both the pump and fans boast gorgeous DRGB lighting. The pump features multiple vibrant LEDs, which are beautifully displayed by several light diffusers. Across the middle of the AiO pump top cover, four diffusers are laid out in a stylish pattern, with an additional two diffusers around the top and bottom cover’s edge.

Meanwhile, the D30 fans are equipped with Phanteks beautiful HALOS lighting system. Each fan features thirty vivid LEDs arranged around the fan frame. The light is captured in two ways. Firstly, the light is scattered along several light diffusers on the front and sides of the fan frame. Secondly, the white fan blades reflect the light produced from the LEDs, for a stunning effect.

Phanteks has made controlling the lighting simple. Both the pump and fans feature a standard 3-pin RGB connector, which can be connected to any D-RGB header on your motherboard. When connected, this allows you to create beautiful lighting effects with software, such as MSI Mystic Light, ASUS Aura Sync, and Razer Chroma. Alternatively, you can connect them to a Phanteks DRGB device, such as their fantastic NV7 case, which provides manual controls for adjusting your lighting.
