I think it’s safe to say, that if you’re an PC enthusiast, you aspire to build a custom water loop one day. Well, that day may be closer than you thought, as the C370 and R260 make it that little bit easier to plan and build your own loop.

C370 A Block for Everyone

The Phanteks C370 comes in two different options, the C370I and C370A, I’m pretty sure you can guess what those letters at the end mean. That’s right Intelligence and Ambition, *checks notes* no wait it’s Intel and AMD. With four models available, no matter if you’re Team Blue or Team Red, you’ll have a highly efficient water block for your modern CPU.

Phanteks has accomplished this by making the C370I support 1700, 1200, and 115x sockets, while the C370A supports AM4 as well as AM5 sockets. What’s more, with its spring-loaded screws and solid metal backplate, the C370 is easy to mount to your CPU.

No matter which block you purchase, they each boast fantastic performance. This is due to the innovative design of the Phanteks C370. Starting with the choice of materials used for their manufacture, such as a pure copper contact plate. Copper is one of the best conductors of heat, as such it is perfectly suited for this task. The optimum materials for a CPU water block are those that are not affected by rapid changes in temperature. As such, the body of the C370 is crafted from POM, and sealed with Viton rubber O-rings, each of which are resistant to high temperatures.

What sets the Phanteks C370 water block apart, though, is its innovative cooling design. Not just content with passing coolant through a standard fin stack, the C370 incorporates a jet plate design, that directs your coolant directly over the hottest part of the CPU, the die.

What’s more, your coolant will be able to flow easier through the Phanteks C370, as the fin stack has been designed to allow maximum heat dissipation with minimal water resistance. This is accomplished by constructing the stack from 4 x 0.4mm (HxW) fins, with a 0.4mm gap between each fin. With this amazing attention to detail, your coolant can quickly flow through the block, efficiently carrying away the waste heat.

R260 Provides Impressive Reserves

Choosing the right spot for your reservoir can be a tricky proposition. Luckily, with the Phanteks R260, this decision is made much easier. This is thanks to multiple models of R260 reservoirs that are available. With the Phanteks R260, you have the option of a stand-alone reservoir, or a reservoir with a pre-installed D5 pump.

Phanteks R260 Reservoir and D5 Pump Combo

The R260 reservoir boasts several factors that make it highly versatile when planning your cooling loop. The first of these is that it boasts multiple ports for both input and output. This gives you plenty of options on how you wish to run your pipes to and from the reservoir, for peak thermal performance alongside creating the most pleasing aesthetic. What’s more, the Phanteks R260 is also very flexible with its mounting options. The R260 reservoir can be directly mounted to any 120mm or 140mm fan, using the included brackets. This gives you the option for mounting the R260 almost anywhere within your case!

If you decide upon the R260 combo, your reservoir will come with a pre-installed D5 pump, saving you the headache of trying to figure out where to install a pump inside your case. With this pump, your coolant will be quickly moved around your loop, as it can create exceptional water flow. What’s more, it does this without excessive water pressure which can put a strain on your fittings, lessening the chance of a leak in the future. Even better, it does all this while remaining whisper quiet.

Phanteks Styling

Phanteks Black C370A Water Block

Both the C370 and R260 feature Phanteks’ stylish signature aesthetics. This includes using crystal clear acrylics, combined with bold accent plates, that come in both black and white. This helps focuses your eye onto what’s happening within their bodies, the mesmerising flow of coolant throughout your loop.

Additionally, both the Phanteks C370 water block and Phanteks R260 reservoir are equipped with vibrant D-RGB lighting. The C370 boasts eight of these vivid LEDs, while the R260 features an amazing twenty! Phanteks utilises the beautiful lighting produced by these LEDs to accentuate the stunning aesthetics of these components.

Controlling the lighting of the C370 and R260 is a simple task, with one of two options available. You can connect them to Phanteks lighting accessories, such as one of their amazing cases like the NV7, allowing for manual control of all Phanteks D-RGB lighting at once. Alternatively, you can directly connect to your motherboard with the included adapters, so software such as MSI Mystic Light and ASUS Aura Sync can sync all your D-RGB lighting together.
