Save the Children’s summer streaming event is back. Survive to Five is here for 2023, aiming to raise money for children worldwide.
We’ve been following this event for the last few years, enjoying the streamer’s antics and that warm fuzzy feeling when you donate to charity. This year, Streamplify and Ducky are supporting the Stream Team and Save the Children. There are some familiar faces returning to fundraise this year and plenty of new streamers to watch. All in all, an entertaining few days!
Annnnd We’re Back!
We are back with an update of all the best bits that went down on Survive to Five. Before we get into the juicy details, we’ll recap what Survive to Five is and how the money these streamers have raised helps.
What is Survive to Five?
Survive to Five is a streaming event run by Save the Children. Running from June 1st to June 5th, the Stream Team hosted fundraising streams of games and more, with plenty of incentives for viewers to donate. In the past, streamers have made sound baths, played their favourite games, and stated if they reach certain money goals they’ll do wild things, like eat a cricket!
Why “Survive to Five” though? Each year, roughly 5.2 million children don’t make it to their fifth birthday. Largely from preventable and treatable causes, too. Whilst this number is 59% lower than it was merely thirty years ago, I think we can all agree it’s still too many. This year, Save the Children are hoping to raise $25,000 to provide kids with lifesaving care. With the help of you and the Stream Team.
Funds will go towards helping frontline health workers providing care for pneumonia, diarrhoea, malaria, and S.A.M. They also enable the families, community, and governments to be active partners in the care for these vulnerable children.
Survive to Five Highlights
It’s been a fun-filled few days with popular streamers doing what they can to raise funds. Taking part in the shenanigans, we had:
- FeralWife
- kayPOWXD
- LillyVinnily
- TrepChains
- Lyssatee
- Jangutu
- cbRoFL
- Thorlar
- Grinning Hazard
- Maral
This year, the big bucks were raised by LillyVinnily who drew cutesy cats based on viewer donations, played games, danced to Baby Shark, and conducted an ASMR session, all using their cartoon model, often covered in virtual post-its.
Participating for a second year, kawPOWXD did her fundraising with some quintessential insani-tea to The Elder Scrolls Online. Exploring the new Necrom DLC, no less! It started as a co-stream with Bethesda and other streamers but moved into solo gameplay with charity shenanigans galore. Incentives included putting butterfly clips in, a picture drawn from memory, and removing all armour in raids!
Lyssatee ran a couple charity streams, with fun incentives for donations. Every five dollars raised she put on a heart sticker and every twenty triggered a DDR dance break. The early $100 donation ensured it was going to be a 90s fever dream of stickers and dancing! What’s more, she had donation goals to decide upcoming stream content, such as a baking or Elden Ring stream. There was also some gaming to be had, with RimWorld and Vampire Survivors.
How Can I Take Part?
Most of the charity streams are all done now, but there’s nothing stopping you from rewatching any of the fun had or from donating to Save the Children. Tiltify has all the links to each streamer’s Twitch pages as well as handy donate buttons. Streamlabs also has means for you to donate.
Streamplify and Ducky

Streamplify offers accessible plug-and-play streaming products that can elevate the production of any streaming set-up, whilst Ducky craft high-performance mechanical keyboards with stunning aesthetics.
