The last bank holiday of the summer is on the horizon. It is close enough to check the weather forecast: grim with a side of muggy. So, what better way to spend this juicy day off than as a playcation?
August has seen some pretty epic games drop, with more yet to come. One title that is particularly exciting is Psychonauts 2 from Double Fine Productions, released on August 25th. A sequel to the 2005 release, this is a 3D platformer full of colour and quirky characters.
Psychonauts 2
Combining quirky missions and mysterious conspiracies, Psychonauts 2 is a platform-adventure game with cinematic style and tons of customizable psychic powers.
Steam
Starting immediately after the first game finishes, Psychonauts 2 sees you living out protagonist Razputin “Raz” Aquato’s dream of being a Psychonaut. As an espionage organisation, these psychic super spies have to get to the bottom of why their old foe, Maligula, is seemingly back from the dead.
Gameplay includes solving environmental puzzles, battling bad guys, and using highly customisable psychic powers. All whilst looking like something that escaped from Tim Burton’s mind. Or perhaps his peppier cousin’s mind. This game is pegged as story-rich, with plenty of comedy and cinematic scenes. Frankly, I can’t wait to spend my bank holiday Monday with this adventure!
Relaxing Bank Holiday
Naturally, the best thing to do on a bank holiday is to relax. Why not enhance your gaming session with the ultimate, premium comfort of a gaming chair? Now, I thought sitting in a chair called Chariot sounded regal, but just imagine sitting in one called Emperor.
