Introducing the Frame R8 – an innovative entirely wall mounted PC.

Pretty as a picture

The Frame R8’s unique aesthetic is the result of a collaboration with startup Creative Solutions For Gamers (CSFG). Just over a year ago, the Swedish founders of CSFG had the idea to make a professionally manufactured wall mount capable of holding an entire PC. After extensive planning and testing, they were able to develop a prototype that could be manufactured at scale from their factory in Poland.

A chance meeting with 8Pack at a trade show occurred and a partnership quickly formed with CSFG supplying their Crow wall mount and 8Pack using his knowledge of components and overclocking to devise the perfect complementary hardware setup.

CSFG has made some customisations to differentiate this unit from previous versions, including a bespoke distro plate and a dedicated flight case for shipping – just to make sure it arrives in the best condition. The result is a stylish water cooled PC system, with red coolant by default to mark this as 8Pack’s first all AMD build.

AMD Power

he Frame R8 is as powerful as it is aesthetically pleasing as a result of using an AMD RYZEN™ 5900X CPU Overclocked to 4.7GHz and RADEON™ 6800XT GPU Overclocked up to 2650MHz. This stunning combination ensures that the Frame R8 can handle even the most intense games and computational intense applications.

Exploiting the AMD RDNA™ 2 architecture, the Frame R8 ensures vibrant visuals with further enhancements thanks to AMD FidelityFX and Radeon Image Sharpening. Additionally, AMD FreeSync™ Technology3 prevents tearing and, as a complete AMD build, Radeon™ Software Performance Tuning Presets are available for detailed customisations.

The Centrefold

At the core of the Frame R8 is its ASUS OG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero X570, a fully featured motherboard with a sleek black PCB with subtle chrome and RGB elements. It has an advanced VRM architecture for efficient and safe power distribution, extensive I/O ports and ASUS’s tuning software to maximise performance.

Meanwhile extensive storage is offered by two 1TB SAMSUNG 980 PRO NVME DRIVE and access time are kept speedy thanks to 32GB of 3600MHz 8Pack Team Group Dark Pro memory.

Up your framerate

Thermal performance is a strong point of the Frame R8 given that the components are exposed to the air. However 8Pack has also included a custom EKWB watercooling as well as a pre-installed Aquacomputer Aquaero 6 LT USB Fan-Controller. This unit displays a useful overview of system health. It is also compatible with the LCD Hype free software package so you also have the option to programme what the monitor’s display should you want something a bit different or customised to your preference.

System health can also be monitored via a display on the included ASUS ROG Thor 850W PSU with custom braided cables. This shows realtime data on the Frame R8’s power consumption.
