Lian Li and DAN Case are Back!

Lian Li and DAN Cases have teamed up once more to bring you an update on the A4-SFX PC Case. They have collaborated to create the A4-H2O Mini-ITX Case, a celebration of the small form factor. This dinky chassis can accommodate high-performance hardware and water cooling, whilst barely taking up any room on your desk. Fans of the SFF build, you are going to enjoy this bad boy.

The Lian Li x DAN Cases A4-H2O Mini-ITX Case is the epitome of “great things come in small boxes”. While sleek and minimalist, it has dedicated chambers and an intelligent design that allows you to maximise on the hardware you instal. For a brief overview, this case can accommodate:

Mini-ITX motherboard
Triple-slot GPU up to 322mm long

Either an SFX or SFX-L form factor PSU
240 AiO cooling loops, maximum 55mm radiator thickness
And CPU Coolers up to 55mm tall

For some perspective, this case is 244mm tall, 140mm wide, and 326mm deep. Comparatively, it is about two-thirds the height of a PlayStation 5. Yet it can fit all that juicy hardware, and more that I have yet to mention!

Sandwich Layout

All this can be achieved thanks to the sandwich layout design. The motherboard mounts on the middle partition, with a dedicated area behind it for the graphics card. To maximise on space, the GPU mounts vertically with the included PCIe riser cable. In the chamber beside the motherboard, there is a mounting bracket for an SFX power supply. This can be removed, allowing you to instal the bigger SFX-L form factor. Don’t you just love flexible options!

Now With Water Cooling

The star of the A4-H2O show is that this chassis accommodates water cooling. Like its predecessor, this chassis has fine mesh panels that allow air to flow through the case and cool components. The top and side panels feature this mesh whilst the bottom panel has ventilation holes. Below the top panel, there is a fan mounting bracket that can hold two 120mm fans, which can be used to bolster the natural airflow.

Alternatively, this bracket can be removed to allow for a 240mm radiator as part of an AiO water cooler. With a maximum thickness of 55mm, there are plenty of coolers available on the market to choose from. Between the mesh panelling and water-cooling loop, your gaming PC will be kept nice and cool!

Easy Access

Being so small with a structured layout, ease of access is a must. Lian Li and DAN Cases have you covered. Every panel is easily removed, including the bottom where you can find a 2.5” SSD mount. Cutaways in the steel frame make installing hardware incredibly simple, and even the dividers come out. There’ll be no squeezing hands into tight spaces during this build! Plus, being able to strip down to the bare frame makes cable management a breeze, too.

Available Models

There are four models of the A4-H2O to choose from. Firstly, it comes in either classic black or sleek silver. The aluminium panels have been anodised for a smooth, matte finish. This case will blend seamlessly into any gaming environment, whether you are using it as a gaming PC or console alternative by your TV.

Secondly, you can choose which generation riser cable is included. There is either the current industry standard, PCIe 3.0, or the next-gen tech, PCIe 4.0. Both deliver fast and stable data transfer speeds, with the later generation offering double the throughput and backwards compatibility. Whichever gen fits your needs best, the riser cable tucks neatly behind the motherboard, camouflaging into the matte black interior.

All four models come with a fully equipped I/O panel, featuring USB 3.1 Type-C and USB 3.0 Type-A ports. In a small recess of the left-hand side, the I/O panel does not interrupt the fine figure this chassis cuts.
