The case of the Ducky ONE 2 Mini gaming keyboard is white. The keycaps are made from polybutylenterephthalate, or PBT for short, and use a double-shot manufacturing process to make them significantly longer-lasting than traditional ABS keys. This compact style of keyboard layout not only forgoes the numpad, it also removes the arrow keys and the Insert/Delete key block. The entire row of function keys has also been removed in the name of minimising its footprint. All of the functionality of said keys have, however, has been integrated into the remaining 61 keys and these can be activated by means of the Fn key. This TKL-Mini aka 60% layout design results in one of the most portable and lightweight keyboards available.
Stylish RGB-LED Backlighting
The highlight of the Ducky ONE 2 Mini gaming keyboard is, without a doubt, its RGB-LED lighting, and users are free to express their creativity with its programmable combinations. Thanks to USB N-Key-Rollover, users can activate multiple keys simultaneously without having to worry about ghosting or other delays. This is where the 1.000 Hertz polling rate of the USB port comes into ist own, making contact with the PC every single millisecond. The keyboard itself has a USB Type-C connector complete with a removable cable, the other end of which is a standard Type-A connector. The rubberised feet are also convenient for keeping your keyboard in situ, and the stand-offs can be adjusted to three different heights.
The powerful ARM M3 Micro-Controller used in the Ducky ONE 2 Mini controls and saves the selected LED effects. Additionally, it optimises communications between the keyboard and the PC while simultaneously enabling several other functions, including the use of macros and user profile storage. Additionally, the multimedia functions of the keyboard are possible thanks to Ducky Macro V2.0 – it even enables users to control the mouse cursor!.
