Marvel Rivals Gameplay
Marvel Rivals, developed and published by NetEase Games, is a new team-based hero shooter, starring an incredible roster of heroes and villains from the Marvel Multiverse. From Dr Strange to Loki, Storm to Mantis, Jeff the Land Shark to the Punisher – this is an all-star cast. Plus, with an art style that emulates the hand-drawn comic book aesthetic and dynamic battlegrounds, this PvP shooter will set the stage for some iconic super hero clashes.
This is the Fight of Our Lives – And We’re Going to Win
In Marvel Rivals, you conduct 6v6 team shooter battles using a strategic mix of heroes and villains. Each wields their own unique powers and abilities, bringing plenty of explosive action to the battlefield. What’s more, you can take advantage of some dynamic hero synergy, using Team-Up Skills. This feature allows you to pair up two characters to trigger a special combo attack. Go classic and pair Rocket Racoon with Groot or use Hulk’s Gamma energy to charge Iron Man’s suit. There are countless combinations to boost your firepower and battle abilities – so you need to pick your team carefully!
As well as the cast, you can battle in many iconic Marvel locations, such as Asgard and Tokyo of 2099. Better yet, each location dynamically changes during the fight. If you send Magneto flying into a statue, it will crumble and fall. As such, you can use the debris to shield yourself from power combo moves or even use your environment as a makeshift weapon. Your strategy goes beyond who you pick for your team!
In addition to this, there is a roadmap for seasonal content that will introduce new heroes and maps. The Multiverse will continue to evolve and bring fresh gameplay.
Marvel Rivals Multiplayer
Marvel Rivals is multiplayer, with both online PvP and co-op play on offer. What’s more, there is some crossplay support available! Between consoles, crossplay is fully supported. When playing from PC, it is only available in competitive mode.

You can play Marvel Rivals from December 6th 2024, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
