Setting the scene of this Arthurian adventure is the story of Sir Mordred and King Arthur.

Once a black knight, Sir Modred killed King Arthur, who used his last breath, to return the favour. The mysterious Lady of the Lake has brought Sir Modred back to life to end the nightmare that has taken control of the land. This is where you come in. Players will take control of Sir Modred, who has been tasked to finish what he started. You need to hunt down King Arthur, or whatever he has transformed into… and defeat him.

To do so, players will need to explore the vast world overrun by nail-biting monsters and magical beasts. Alongside this, however, players must face Sir Modred’s own inner morality.

Each decision and action you make will have an impact on the world around you. Found on the Morality Chart, players can see if they are leaning towards Christianity and Old Faith or Tyranny and Righteousness. It is up to you how you want to play and influence the game.

Gather Your Knights at the Round Table

Utilising a combination of turn-based tactics and traditional RPG gameplay, players will need to gather their own team of knights to complete quests and tactical battles.

Choose from a selection of six different classes that include:

Defender
Champion
Marksman
Vanguard
Arcanist
Sage

Complete quests to level up your team, unlock unique skills, and equip your legion with incredible weaponry.

However, be warned. Your team can suffer injuries, curses, diseases, and even die during missions. Plus, with their own goals and rivalries, the members of your team will keep close tabs on all your decisions. Be careful, their loyalty to you all depends on the choices you make!

Expansive Game Modes

King Arthur: Knight’s Tale features four different difficulty modes to choose from, ranging from relaxed to all-out warfare.

If you want even more of a challenge, there is the Roguelite mode, in which every decision, even in turn-based combat, will count. It won’t just be your moral decisions that have a direct influence on the narrative and gameplay.

The complex campaign mode is not the end.

Once you complete the campaign, players will unlock the ‘endgame’, only available to the bravest and most skilled players. Brand new challenges will appear for you to uncover, such as boss fights or random quests. All of which will lead you to defeat Balor, the terrifying god-king of the Formorians.
