The 3rd of March marks my favourite day – World Book Day!
As a fellow bibliophile, I’ve decided to take a look at some of our favourite video games based on books! Alongside these fan favourites, I’ve paired them with some of the incredible gaming PCs Overclockers UK has on offer.
The Witcher
Based on the beloved book series by, Andrzeji Sapkowski, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, will have players take control of Geralt of Riva in this open-world RPG.
Tasked with finding a child of prophecy, Ciri, whilst venturing through cities, pirate islands, dangerous mountains, and more. Trained as a monster slayer for hire, Geralt has been mutated to gain superhuman abilities as a counter to the monsters that infest the world. Players must find Ciri, hunt down exotic monsters, and invest their rewards on upgrades, such as weaponry.

Call of Cthulhu
Based on H.P Lovecraft’s infamous book, Call of Cthulhu, players will be transported to 1924 and take control of Private Investigator Pierce, who has been tasked with looking into the death of the Hawkins family. On the Darkwater Island, Pierce soon encounters a world that is full of conspiracies, cultists, and horrors as he uncovers the secrets behind the family’s death.
