Top Five Games Releasing in February 2025

February is here and with it comes a whole month of incredible new game releases.

To showcase what games are hitting our libraries this month, we’ve rounded up a selection of our faves and the best PCs or laptops to play them on.

Sid Meier’s Civilization VI – February 11^th

The award-winning strategy game returns on February 11^th 2025. Sid Meier’s Civilisation VI allows players to live though all the distinct Ages of human history as they create the greatest empire the world has even known. Play as one of many legendary leaders from history and select your civilisation to represent your empire. Carefully and strategically construct cities, expand your territory, uncover technological breakthroughs, conquer rival civilisations, and much more.

You can build your empire as either a solo leader or play with others via the online multiplayer mode in which you can take part in epic multi-Age campaigns.

Slime Heroes – February 13^th / TBA

In Slime Hereos, the slimes are the good guys fighting against a deadly corruption. Play as the last remaining slime responsible for saving your home from the terrifying force that threatens to consume it. Explore a whimsical world full of secret passageways, puzzling dungeons, and forgotten treasures.

Scattered throughout are special gems which, when consumed, grant you unique magical abilities. Wield these new powers to fight the corrupted minions, free the six gods, and restore the land.

Afterlove EP – February 14^th

From the people that brought us Coffee Talk, Afterlove EP is a cosy slice-of-life adventure set in the city of Jakarta. Blending visual novel, narrative adventure, and rhythm gameplay, step into the shoes of Rama, a young musician struggling to move on after the death of his girlfriend, Cinta, whose voice Rama can hear in his head.

After his band receives a critical gig, Rama has only 30 days to get it together before the event and it’s up to you to decide which path he takes. Explore the city, choose which relationships to repair and which new ones to pursue, come to terms with the past, rediscover your love for music, and help Rama shape his future forever.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – February 18^th

Lost Records: Bloom and Rage is a brand-new narrative adventure from the developers of Life is Strange. It’s set in two timelines, one in 1995, in which you can enjoy one fateful summer where the lives of four high school girls will change forever, and 2022, where you must confront the dark secrets you’ve kept for 27 years.

Play as Swann and get to know your new friends, each with their own lives and battles. Choose your actions and words to shape your relationships. Monster Hunter Wilds – February 28^th

In Monster Hunter Wilds, humans and monsters live in harmony. After a young boy, whose village was destroyed by a mysterious monster, was discovered on the border of the Forbidden Lands, you, as a Hunter, must uncover the truth. Venture across the Forbidden Lands, tracking and destroying powerful monsters along with collecting precious materials to craft weaponry and armour to aid you in battle.

The land around you is consistently changing with shifting weather and patterns. Fallow and Inclemency periods mean ravenous monsters hunt in packs while the Plenty period evoke rich wildlife and abundant resources. Strategically plan your next hunting tactic as you hone your skills and wield powerful weaponry. Watch out – every monster has its own unique characteristics that allow it to survive and thrive in the harsh Forbidden Lands.
