Top Five Games Releasing in January 2025

The new year is here, and that can only mean one thing… Another whole host of incredible games just waiting to hit our gaming libraries. This series is a firm staple on the Overclockers UK blog and 2025 will be no different.

We’ve rounded up a selection of our favourite new games set to be released in January 2025, along with our top PCs to play this collection of great titles.

Dreaming Isle – January 13^th

Dreaming Isle is the perfect blend of farming simulator fun with a high-seas adventure. Play as a lost mariner, isolated on an abandoned island with only your wit, skills, and a long-forgotten farm. As you rebuild and tend your new farm, explore the other islands scattered around the Dreaming Isles and befriend their inhabitants. Watch out for waring pirate factions and trade vessels! Both of which have caused plenty of strife for the islanders, who desperately need your help.

Hone your skills in farming, crafting, and more to transform your farm into a thriving space while you try to win the hearts of your fellow islanders, fight monsters, explore, and even side with the Pirates or with Global Trade.

Aloft – January 15^th

Aloft is a cosy survival game set in the clouds. Learn how to navigate this vast world of fluffy clouds as you transform virtually any island into a flying ship and explore the skies. Along your adventures, you’ll soon come face to face with a growing corruption. Hunt down the cause and cure this deadly threat to preserve life as we know it. Take care of nature’s beauty by uncovering lost knowledge, brewing powerful antidotes, and restoring balance to this incredible airborne ecosystem.

Splittown – January 16^th

Splittown is a retro point-and-click adventure inspired by 90s classics such as Sam & Max Hit the Road. Play as Leonard Nimby, a former agent of the IM5, tasked with uncovering a villainous mayoral candidate on the eve of their election. Explore this vibrant world as you undergo unexpected side quests and befriend a unique cast of characters in this funny yet heartfelt narrative.

The choices you make in Splittown aren’t just for show. Every choice or action will notably influence the world, characters, and story as you experience life in this very authentic world. All while you sit back and enjoy nostalgic 90s whimsy, jokes, and absurdity.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 – January 30^th

Everyone’s favourite neighbourhood spider is back in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The previous PlayStation exclusive has finally made its way to PC, so gear up for even more web-slinging action. With New York under threat once again, Peter Parker and Miles Morales must team up, mask-up, and fight to save the city, themselves, and the ones they love from the deadly Venom.

Hone Peter’s all-new symbiote abilities and Miles’ explosive bio-electric venom powers as you take down a variety of new and iconic villains including Venom, Kraven the Hunter, and Lizard.
