August is here and summer is officially in full swing (let’s hope the sun is shining). If you’re looking for a great excuse to avoid those awkward family barbecues, we’re here with our round-up of the incredible new releases coming this August.

Kitsune Tails – August 1st
Kitsune Tails is an adorable platformer inspired by Japanese mythology. You play as a young female kitsune, one of Inari’s messengers, as you embark on a whirlwind adventure to deliver your first message. Along the way, you’ll uncover the dark truth behind the fallout of your relationship with your childhood friend as you discover the real reason she sold out your love interest.
There are five different elemental worlds and various haunted houses for you to explore. You’ll need to manifest your own set of unique powers to aid you in your discovery, along with cute outfits that will help you run, jump, and dash across the world.

Creatures of Ava – August 7th
Creatures of Ava is an upcoming creature collector in which you work hard to save a planet from a life-consuming infection. Play as Vic, a budding nature explorer, who has recently travelled to the doomed planet, Ava. Full of adorable and unique creatures, you’ll need to explore four distinct ecosystems as you solve environmental challenges and save Ava.
The infection, otherwise known as the ‘withering’ threatens all life on Ava, transforming once peaceful creatures into aggressive monsters. You’ll need to wield beautiful Flute melodies to tame these creatures as you uncover dark secrets of both your past and Ava’s.

Farwell North – August 16th
Play as a border collie on an adventure with your human companion in Farwell North. Journey across a stunning colourless world inspired by the Scottish Highlands as you solve complex puzzles to restore colour to your human’s life. Whilst you strive to uncover her memories, you’ll also be given glimpses into the lives of others.
Whether you travel by paw or canoe across the beautiful landscape, you can travel between the different islands completely at your own pace. Hone your skills as a border collie to herd sheep or highland cows, help the local farmers with their livestock, and enjoy an impromptu game of fetch. All of which will bring sparks of happiness to this story of companionship, trust, and loss.

Gori: Cuddly Carnage – August 29th
In Gori: Cuddly Carnage, humanity has been destroyed after the big-name corporation ‘Cool-Toyz Inc’ accidentally mutated their adorable ‘Ultra Toys’ into rabid twisted toys determined to destroy life as we know it. Play as Gori, one of the last remaining synthetic pets, and team up with sentient yet wise-cracking hoverboard F.R.A.N.K. and A.I. companion CH1-P to destroy the evil Adorable Amy.
Harness explosive weaponry and devasting combos as you desperately try to take down the Adorable Army, stop them from conquering the galaxy, and uncover the truth about Cool-Toyz Inc. All whilst you try to rescue Professor Y, the missing creator of Ultra Pets and the only human to show Gori love.
