Top Five Games Releasing This December

December is here (let’s not try to focus on how quickly this year has gone!), and with it comes the anticipation and excitement for Christmas, along with plenty of new game releases to get your hands on.

If you don’t know what games are hitting your library this month, we’ve picked out five new faves that are sure to brighten up your dark winter weekends.

Symphonia – December 5^th

In Symphonia, music is a source of life and energy, fuelling your adventures across this beautiful world to restore sound and find the missing orchestra. Play as Philemon, the mysterious violinist, brought back to life in this declining world. Your violin is not only your instrument but also your means of transport. Carefully and gracefully catapult your way through this 3D platformer as you solve puzzles to re-activate machinery to bring the world back to life.

The world is based on the symphonic orchestra, filled with colourful characters and unique districts. Explore each new area and meet prodigious musicians as you try to convince them to join the new orchestra. All while you enjoy a beautiful soundtrack created by composer Oliva Esman.

The Spirit of the Samurai – December 12^th

In The Spirit of Samurai, Takeshi, a Japanese samurai, has been tasked with protecting his village from an onslaught of Oni who are trying to take over the land utilising an army of the undead – Tengu. Play as three distinct characters, Takeshi, the skilled samurai, Kodama, a brave but small spirit, and Chisai, a warrior cat. Each character interacts with the world around them in a different way from incredible sword combos to nimble exploration.

As you explore a beautifully crafted world, utilise your unique abilities to take down hordes of Tengu and the terrifying Jorogumo, all inspired by Japanese mythology and folklore. Traverse across ruined villages, mountain caves, desolate cemeteries, and more as you defend yourself against plenty of undead creatures.

Alien: Rogue Incursion – December 19^th
