Top Five Games Releasing This September

September is here already, (why is this year going by so quickly?!) and with it comes a brand-new selection of incredible new releases. It was tough to pick out our top five faves this month, but we’ve rounded them up with a selection of our top PCs and laptops, nonetheless.

Age of Mythology: Retold – September 4^th

Age of Mythology: Retold is an upcoming RTS in which gods, monsters, and humanity have collided. In this epic strategy game, you must first secure your domain, command legendary creatures, and call upon powerful gods to help you crush your enemies. Choose from Greek, Norse, Egyptian, and even Atlantean pantheons, along with terrifying beasts to protect your people and devastate your opponents with lightning storms, earth-shattering quakes, or even the deadly Nidhogg dragon.

There are up to 50 different missions that will kickstart your adventure across this mythical world. Travel to the mighty walls of Troy, battle giants in Midgard, and uncover the mystery of Osiris in Egypt. All of which will help you to decide – will you become a hero, myth, or god?

Mirthwood – September 11^th*

Mirthwood is an enchanting RPG life sim where you choose who you want to be. In this medieval fantasy world, begin your new life by building your own homestead where you cultivate crops, rear animals, craft essential items, and create a peaceful life for your family. As you perfect your homestead, you’ll also need to engage in real-time combat as you complete various quests and dynamic world events.

Explore a vibrant hand-drawn open word that features six diverse regions and three distinct towns as you battle your way through Storms, Winter, and Disease. Equip yourself with an arsenal of weaponry, armour, and clothing to aid you in your battles against the dangers of Bleakwood.

God of War Ragnarök – September 19^th

The epic sequel to the popular Norse Saga is finally coming to PC! God of War Ragnarök reunites players with the rag-tag duo of Kratos and Atreus. They must journey to each of the Nine Realms on the hunt for answers while Odin prepares his force in Asgard for a deadly battle that will end the world. Frostpunk 2 – September 20^th

Frostpunk 2 is the sequel to the epic city survival game. Set 30 years after a deadly blizzard conquered Earth, be prepared to face a deadly never-ending winter. Nature is no longer your number one enemy, it’s now humanity. As the city Steward, you must manage a plethora of factions and city districts, each with their own endless lists of demands. You must mediate any growing tensions and ensure your city heads towards stability.

Since Frostpunk, your city has grown significantly. Now you can build entire vibrant districts as you expand housing and industrial zones, or even conduct research to forge the future of your city.

Disney Epic Mickey Rebrushed – September 24^th

Disney Epic Mickey Rebrushed is a remaster of the classic 3D platformer. Play as Mickey and dive into a fantastical world armed with your trusty paintbrush and thinner. The Wasteland is a realm full of forgotten Disney characters such as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, who you must restore with a simple stroke of your brush. Alternatively, you can use your thinner to alter the environment and uncover secrets. Each choice you make will alter the outcome and shape Mickey’s destiny.

As you travel between lands in Wasteland, you’ll encounter iconic characters, collect Disney pins, conquer creative challenges, and uncover plenty of secrets. All whilst you jump your way through multiple platforming levels inspired by classic Disney films and shorts.
