This new installment of the game now features different game modes.
- Pro Leader: Play as a rider and choose your own profile (climber, sprinter, puncher, or versatile) and ride your way to the finish way to become a future winner.
- Pro Team: Play as an entire team and work your way up. Begin at the bottom and work to prove yourself to enter high-profile races.
- My Tour: Create and design your very own tour utilising the 92 different stages available. Choose your teams, rest days, different stages and build the intricate 21 day tour of your dreams.

Along with these different game modes, Tour De France 2022 now includes;
