The October chill is in the air, and whether you’re looking for something cosy or scary to play as the dark nights start drawing in, our round up of new releases has something for every player!

Metal: Hellsinger VR – October 3^rd

Metal: Hellsinger VR is an epic rhythm FPS shooter that allows you to take control of a half-demon called The Unknown. Fueled by metal rage, wield an arsenal of infernal weaponry and the fires of Hell to conquer hordes of deadly beats and reclaim your voice from the Red Judge. All of which you can do the beat of an epic original soundtrack created by metal icons such as Serj Tankian and Randy Blythe!

Metal: Hellsinger VR includes a dedicated campaign along with Torment challenges, and Beat Assist Modes, which have all been redesigned to support VR.

Necro Story – October 7^th

Necro Story is an RPG creature collector in which you play as a sort of ‘evil’ necromancer who is far more concerned about saving the world than the undead. Guided by the white mag, you must command your minions and embark on a mission to save humanity from their impending doom. Master over 20 necromancy spells split into five categories from Affliction, Darkness, Life Drain, and Summoning, to Dark Pacts.

Embrace your dark side as you capture and command souls, transforming enemies into allies which you can equip with powerful gear and train to expand their skills to maximise their potential and secure your victory. All whilst you sit back and enjoy a whimsical storyline full of dark fantasy, witty humour, and plenty of unexpected twists.

Whimel Academy – October 9^th

Whimel Academy is a cosy time management dating game set in a magic school. Experience the day-to-day life of a witch or wizard as you balance your studies, hobbies, friendships, and of course earn some extra pennies. Meet your fellow students (whom you can date!) whilst you carefully decide which activities you want to spend your time on. Whether this is taking classes, practicing magic, securing a part-time job, or even shopping for unique magical supplies.

Whimel Academy features a variety of NPCs for you to meet, and offers plenty of vital representation with male, female, and non-binary characters, each with their own personality and deep narrative storyline. All whilst you explore a wholesome fantasy world and cosy atmosphere.

A Quiet Place: The Road Ahead is a single-player horror adventure game inspired by the events of the acclaimed film franchise. Set in a post-apocalyptic world in which you must learn how to survive in silence, follow the storyline of a young woman desperately trying to navigate this new world, her own interpersonal family conflict, and fears.

Skillfully hide and sneak past horrifying creatures who hunt via sound. You must learn how to be as quiet as possible whilst you carve your own path throughout this different world and harness vital tools and equipment to aid your survival.

Life is Strange: Double Exposure

Reunite with Max Caulfield in Life is Strange: Double Exposure. Now a photographer-in-residence at Caledon University, Max soon finds herself entangled in a deadly mystery after she finds her new friend, Safi, dead in the snow. To save Safi, you must harness Max’s unique ability to rewind time. That is until she opens a portal to a parallel timeline in which Safi is still alive, and in danger.

Realising the killer will soon strike again, in both versions of reality, you must race against time to forge vital allies and pursue suspects as you explore both realities and shape their future through your choices.
