Squirrel with a Gun

We’re starting with a new kid on the block, Squirrel with a Gun. Available from August 29^th 2024, you play as a squirrel with, well, a gun. With a knock for crime and a love for mayhem, you must fight tooth, claw, and gun to get free from a secret underground facility and defeat the Agents. Squirrel with a Gun may be a little nutty, but this sandbox shooter and puzzle platformer has enough whimsy and chaos to keep us hooked.

I’m sure we can all agree, Octodad: Dadliest Catch is the pinnacle of unhinged. Not only are you playing as a cephalopod in a suit with human children, but you have to navigate bonkers physics in your day-to-day life. Nothing is safe from your flailing tentacles. Grocery shopping? A minefield of mess. Chores around the house? Not likely. A trip to the aquarium? A disaster waiting to happen. With fully unpredictable limbs, you can be sure that no two days as Octodad are the same.

Truly moving into bizzaro-land, we have Hatoful Boyfriend. You play as the only human student, at the prestigious St. PigeoNation’s Institute. If the name wasn’t a dead giveaway, it’s a school for birds. Birds! Boasting pigeons in 1080p and 30 flaps per second, this high school dating simulator is something else. Between classes, you can find romance with birds of every feather because why wouldn’t you? Takes “love birds” to a whole new meaning, I guess?

Here’s a collection of words you never thought you’d see together: Hamilton Simulator in Roblox. Yes, that Hamilton from Broadway. Gather characters from the room where it happened, such as Angelica Schuyler, James Madison, or even Alexander Hamilton himself (looking just like Lin-Manuel Miranda), and fight against various enemies.
