Explore Like Never Before
If you’re a fan of Metroidvania games, you’re in for a treat. Yupitergrad 2 offers an enormous space station to explore, brimming with puzzles, gear to collect, and enemies to battle. You can take advantage of the game’s adventure scenario or head straight on into endlessly repayable game modes with nonstop action.
Swing Your Way to Glory
Swinging around in VR at first might seem like a recipe for motion sickness. However, we didn’t struggle at all in our playthrough in the Steam version of the game, taking advantage of wireless air link on the Quest 2! Letting our inner VR acrobat out to play.
Movement in Yupitergrad 2: The Lost Station is incredibly intuitive and fun at the same time. By making use of the suction cup blasters, you’ll be flying around like Spiderman in no time.
Your Guide to PC and Console VR
Story
Sequel to the well-received 2020 Yupitergrad, Yupitergrad 2: The Lost Station takes off directly after the events of the first game. Locked into an abandoned space station, we find ourselves with no option other than to swing and fight our way forward.
In Yupitergrad’s main gameplay mode, missions are dished out by our friendly neighbourhood AI sidekick, Alsha, which provide some narrative for us to explore. However, the majority of playability comes from the actual gameplay, with the missions seeming more there to drive us forward into the maze of a space station. That being said, these missions offer a range of puzzles and combat encounters that keep the game from getting too repetitive.
Through all of this, our trusty AI companion, is along for the ride, guiding you through challenges, offering encouragement, and helping you survive the toughest situations. It’s like having a virtual buddy at your side.
