Embed YouTube video in a Tweet?

Is it possible to embed a YT video in a Tweet so there's a preview image that you can click on and have it play right there rather than a url you click on and then get taken to the video via the link?

Doesn't Twitter do this already? Just tested it with a tweet, and the video plays within it with no problem.

I've tried embedding a YT video but it just shows the link to be clicked on? :-

How are you doing it? You just copy and paste the YouTube URL into the tweet, it should then display automatically.

Maybe text after it turns it to just a link? Mine always show as a thumbnail. I don't have any text after them.

Ah that'll probably be why then, you'll need to paste the URL into the tweet directly I think.
