Decent price, kept me updated with progress, well packed (and they chucked in some sweeties!) and good delivery. Great service overall.Read on Google
Operating at a speed of 3.0Gb/s – also known as 300MB/s, Storage solutions which specify a SATA II connection will operate up to this speed as a maximum. HDDs and SSDs which feature a SATA III connection will also be backwards compatible with SATA II. Regardless of the improved transfer speeds, the SATA III storage solution will operate at a reduced rate as the faster speeds will not be supported from the SATA II cable.
In order to make use of the SATA III transfer speeds, which operate at a speed of 6.0Gb/s – also known as 600MB/s, a SATA III HDD or SSD will be required along with a SATA III cable. Those looking to install an SSD in to their system will not be able to obtain the full potential from its performance when using a SATA II cable. Improving on a HDD in every way, the SSD has been designed from ground-up for a SATA III connection, maximising the the full 600MB/s transfer speed far more efficiently than that of a HDD.
