Modern laptops are becoming ever smaller and thinner, especially if they are to be portable and light. For such compression, however, hardware must be installed in a very small format and be dispensed with one or the other connection. Many notebooks now like to use the modern USB Type-C ports, which are particularly small and flat and can still be very well integrated into the housing.
This converter from Akasa uses exactly such a Type-C USB port and makes it easy to convert this port into an HDMI port. Insofar as the output port has the fast 3.0 standard, the ports of the port also run at this speed. The converted HDMI signal supports resolutions of up to 4,096 x 2,160 pixels (4K @ 30 Hz).
